All three countries announced retaliatory tariffs, and Trump threatened even more tariffs in response. This idiotic move—along with deregulation, austerity, and more wealth redistribution from the bottom to the top—has contributed to fears of another recession. While stupidity and gross incompetence are certainly factors, it’s also plausible that Trump might be *deliberately* trying to trigger a recession for self-serving reasons. In this video we’ll talk about how these tariffs will impact working Americans and discuss what Trump and oligarchs like Elon Musk could gain from an economic crash.
