Republicans Won't Extend ACA Subsidies - And Democrats LET It Happen

Republicans are openly telling us they have no intention of extending Affordable Care Act subsidies – and instead of drawing a hard line, 8 Democrats just helped them weaken our leverage.

In this video, I break down how House Republicans, led by Mike Johnson and cheered on by Trump, are signaling that ACA premium subsidies can absolutely be put on the chopping block… and how a group of Democrats crossed the aisle on a shutdown deal that did NOT secure those subsidies.

This is the classic D.C. two-step:

• Republicans: “We’re not interested in extending ACA subsidies.”

• Trumpworld: floating “alternatives” that end zero-dollar plans and push more costs onto poorer people

In other words: Republicans are doing exactly what they always do on healthcare… and the Democratic establishment is once again “negotiating” from a position of weakness.
