Post Brexit Britain has “no national direction” | Andrew Marr | New Statesman

The “breakaway Brexit idea has fallen apart” leaving Britain without a national narrative – Andrew Marr.

Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak are “trying to huddle on the middle ground of politics”, leaving a vacuum on the right and left wings of British politics.

As economic conditions in the UK worsen, Marr argues there is a “very uneasy and angry condition” which could potentially lead to the return of the “racist politics” of the 1970s.

Marr argues for a more positive form of political activism arguing that “we need to have more of a conversation about the better side of this country,” and how this can be advanced.
