Dan Ridenour, the Mayor of Muncie, Indiana will be opening his FIRST annual: CAMP RIDENOUR RETREAT: "This One Time at Dan Camp!" (Friday, June 7th & Saturday, June 8th... 2024).

This 2 day event was created by Mayor Ridenour in an attempt to "open lines of communication" between he and his administration & the Muncie City Council!

An outside facilitator has been hired to help move the retreat along... and it was Mayor Ridenour's hopes that this could be a "TRUST BUILDING EVENT"... and he wanted to be able to look ahead, hopefully to plans for the City over the next 3.5 years!

So what is the issue??? That all sounds lovely!?

WELL, FIRST... any meeting planned for the Council... has to be an OPEN MEETING, per the Indiana Open Door Laws! But that shouldn't be a problem right!?

Well, kinda... because for whatever reason... the Mayor decided to have this "Retreat" in Angola, Indiana... which is 2 hours north of Muncie... which makes it difficult for citizens to attend!

On top of all that, only one of the 9 Councilors RSVP'd... which means ALL OF THIS was put together really for no reason!

OR BETTER YET... IT WOULD BE FINE TO HAVE THE EVENT... but hold it in MUNCIE... where, honestly, more Councilors would have the chance to attend if they felt like it... but more importantly, the citizens of Muncie could attend and keep an eye on what was going on!

So because of all the insanity... Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey is driving up and he will be LIVE ON LOCATION both Friday and Saturday.

Bilbrey will be LIVE Streaming from "Dan Camp' during both Friday's Meeting & Saturday's Meeting and at any other points in time that would be important for viewers to see what is going on.
