0:59Now PlayingOn Saturday, June 15th, 2024... Micah Beckwith beat Julie McGuire (the Republican Establishment's pick) to become the Republican Candidate for Lt. Governor of Indiana.
The Indiana State Republican Party held their Convention on Saturday, June 15th, 2024... and although Republican Governor Candidate Mike Braun stated he wanted current District 93 State Representative Julie McGuire to be the Lt. Gov. Candidate... the decision ultimately comes down to the State Delegates that vote at the Convention.
Beckwith received 891 delegate votes... while McGuire received 828 delegate votes! And while Mike Braun certainly didn't look, seem, or act happy... Micah hit it out of the park with his speech!
This will definitely make for an interesting 2024 Election Cycle!
