Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is getting HUGE BACKLASH after she has decided to support House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to be the speaker. Many are shocked, as she is the biggest republican extremist in the house, and for some reason has teamed up with Kevin McCarthy, the "Swamp" guy, according to her supporters. People are rightfully shocked, as this makes no sense given her character. However, it is not for any substantive reason, but rather, she felt slighted by the freedom caucus people, because she said they weren't getting her any concessions, and she was the biggest victim of all this, since she was the one who got stripped of her committee assignments.
She sent out many tweets on Twitter, all of which got massively ratio'd, mostly by her own fans. Responding to a tweet that reads: "The plan is to stop McCarthy." She says, "The plan is to stop the Democrats!!!
Wake up to political reality and remember who the enemy is." This tweet has over 5,700 responses, and only 2,781 favorites, indicating heavy backlash.
More tweets: "We are on day 2 and the same Never Kevin group is now on their 3rd Speaker candidate.
People are truly beginning to realize they have no plan, and they are sick and tired of ‘trust the plan’ that’s a complete secret and never produces results"
To which her fans responded like: "McCarthy is a joke - screw him." "The plan is to stop McCarthy." "Wrong! People are proud that 20 reps don’t want the same, tiring status-quo in Congress, of which you seem to have morphed into. You should notice, you’ve lost a lot of support, MTG. ALOT!"
MTG: "If the base only understood that 19 Republicans voting against McCarthy are playing Russian roulette with our hard earned Republican majority right now. This is the worst thing that could possibly happen."
Response: "Oh we get it.
