Plato's description of Atlantis places it west of the Pillars of Hercules - past a group of islands, then the continent-sized island itself, then the real ocean beyond. Randall Carlson overlays that geography onto the actual Atlantic floor and finds something that stops him in his tracks.
The Atlantis and Great Meteor Seamounts, identified through echo sounding and submarine photography, have flat bedrock summits sitting at approximately 180 fathoms - not particularly deep by ocean standards. Those summits are covered in cobbles and boulders the size of a fist. Rounded surface cobbles do not form underwater. They form on beaches, under wave action, in the open air. One of those cobbles returned a radiocarbon date of 12,000 years, plus or minus 900 - placing it squarely at the Younger Dryas boundary, the same catastrophic event the Comet Research Group has spent decades documenting.
The seamount sits at the location Plato described. The surface features are consistent with former dry land. The date matches the proposed destruction event. Randall's conclusion is unambiguous.
