2:57Now PlayingHundreds of Chicago residents and a coalition of political and community organizations marched through the streets of downtown Chicago on July 4, one day after Republicans in Congress passed President Trump's tax and spending mega-bill. TRNN reports from the ground in #Chicago.
The march, which began at Federal Plaza in downtown Chicago, was called by the Coalition Against the Trump Agenda (CATA), including two of its leading organizations—US Palestinian Community Network (USPCN)-Chicago and the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression (CAARPR)—plus the Chicago Coalition for Justice in Palestine. In a press statement released prior to the march, the coalition said, "As Trump’s Big Beastly Bill has passed both chambers of Congress, Chicago’s diverse communities will stand together—with millions of people all over the country—to demand money for housing, healthcare, jobs, and education, not for wars, incarceration, and deportation"
