Mitch McConnell Whines That Biden Hasn't Invited Him To The White House

During an interview with Fox News this week, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell whined about the fact that President Biden hasn't invited him to the White House or even spoken to him since the inauguration. McConnell doesn't deserve to be invited to the White House, and this is one of the best parts of the Biden administration. During an interview with Fox news yesterday, Mitch McConnell complained about the fact that he hasn't gotten a phone call. He hasn't gotten an invitation to the white house since Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20th, Biden has not reached out to Mitch McConnell at all, and it makes McConnell a little sad. And I got to tell you, this is actually one of the best moves the Biden administration has made since coming to power two months ago, you know, cutting Mitch McConnell completely out of the conversation. Not trying to sit down with him and compromise. That's a smart move because we all know that Mitch McConnell is not coming to these bargaining sessions in good faith. So don't even invite him. Don't call him up. Don't ask him how his weekend was. Don't ask him how the kids are doing know, pretend he doesn't exist and move forward accordingly.

And so far to a degree, that is what the Biden administration has done. They've reached out to other Republicans in the earlier days. Uh, they have since stopped that and instead they've replaced it with meetings with their own, uh, centrist Democrats like mansion and cinema, trying to get them in line. So, you know, I got that going on, but I'm not going to shed a tear for Mitch McConnell being sad that he doesn't get to go hang out at the white house anymore. I'm not going to shed a tear for Mitch McConnell because he's not getting a phone call anymore from his former colleague, Joe Biden. And I'm not going to feel bad that he wants again, went on Fox news yesterday and defended the filibuster, trying to rewrite the entire history of it. Even though he continues to get schooled on social media, by actual historians explaining the real racist history of the filibuster.

That's what Mitch McConnell wants everybody to think, right? He wants him to think, well, I want to go to the white house and negotiate. I don't want to do away with the filibuster because it's a part of our tradition. What he's doing right now is crafting a narrative that Republicans are going to use in 2022. And that is the Democrats came into power. They got drunk with the power and they continue just kind of full steam ahead. Didn't talk to Republicans. They did all this stuff without us. They're acting like Kings or dictators or whatever it is. We've got to stop them before they get completely out of control. That's the narrative, that's the story. And of course, Fox news is more than happy to let Mitch McConnell come on the air and uh, you know, start that narrative for them. But this is what we're going to be up against.

And it may hurt Democrats in 2022, but it also may not depending on what they do with it. If Republicans are going to craft the narrative that Democrats are moving forward without input, then go ahead and move forward without Republican input, go ahead and pass pieces of legislation that are broadly supported by Republicans, Democrats, and independents, and do it without any Republican votes. That's what you need to do. So that way, when people do go to the ballots or get their bounds, go to the polls, excuse me, in 2022, they're going to look at that list of people and be like, well, they said the Democrats didn't work for them, but the Democrats actually did a lot of things that I liked.
