Fox News Refuses To Air Ad Showing Police Officers Condemning Capitol Riot

Fox News is refusing to air an ad on their network that shows Capitol police officers condemning the actions of January 6th and the individuals who took part in the riot that day. Fox News is trying to protect their viewers and themselves, by not reminding them of the atrocities that the network, at least indirectly, helped spur on as a result of them pushing lies about the 2020 election. A liberal group called MeidasTouch had created a powerful ad featuring Capitol police officers condemning the actions of the Capitol rioters on January 6th. It was a 60 second ad that they had actually paid for a spot on, on Fox news. That's where they wanted the ad to premier because they wanted the Fox news audience to not only remember what happened that day, but this is of course the blue lives matter audience. So you wanted them to hear from the police officers themselves, who they swear up and down they support without question, about how they feel about what happened that day. And not surprisingly, Fox news decided to ditch the ad. They refused to air it because they refuse to acknowledge the reality of that day. Now, to be honest, we have seen a lot of advertisers over the years boycotting Fox news and many of their programs. So it's surprising, you know, that beggars can in fact be choosers about which ads they want to air. But hey, it's Fox news and they will choose their alternative reality over money any day of the week, because they've got wealthy backers like Rupert Murdoch.

If he doesn't make his money from Fox news, he will make it from one of his other many media outlets out there. But either way, what's happening is that Fox news again is trying to protect their audience from the truth. That is what they're trying to protect them from, because the truth is so damning for that Republican audience, for that hard right conservative audience of Fox news, reality is the biggest enemy. And let's be honest, Fox news also understands that because they helped spread and repeat the big lie that the election was somehow stolen, even though it wasn't, but they helped push that lie and therefore they are at least a little bit, you know, directly or indirectly however you want to say it, but they do bear some responsibility for radicalizing these individuals. And that's why they can't air this ad. Because even though the ad doesn't mention them, they know that they helped make this happen. And that's why this ad by again, this group MeidasTouch, is so terrifying to Fox news and that's why they had to protect their audience from ever seeing the truth.
