Devin Nunes Put In Charge Of Investigating Tucker Carlson's NSA Spying Claim

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is taking Tucker Carlson's claims very seriously, and he has found the perfect stooge to look into the matter - Devin Nunes. The man who is so angry at Twitter parody accounts that he filed several lawsuits against pranksters is now going to be the person we have to trust to determine whether or not the NSA is spying on a Fox News host. Republicans in the House of Representatives are taking the issue of Tucker Carlson, allegedly being spied on by the NSA, very seriously, to the point where this week House minority leader, Kevin McCarthy, decided they need to look into this. And they're going to do everything they can to find out just what the heck is going on. So McCarthy picked his best and brightest said, I'm going to, I'm going to appoint somebody essentially to look into this. And the person he chose was Devin Nunes. Kevin McCarthy has given Devin Nunes the green light to go ahead and to investigate, I guess, this, look into it, whatever it is. So Nunes the man who tried to sue parody accounts on Twitter multiple times, because it, it annoyed him I guess and he feels that if you annoy him, that should be illegal. Yeah, this is the guy Republicans are trusting, hey, you go find out what's happening with these claims of spying that Tucker Carlson has laid out.

And it's amazing though, folks, because this all happened within 48 hours of Tucker Carlson making these claims on the air without any evidence to back it up. And Republicans are already like, oh, hell, we got to come out and we got to create a commission. We got to put somebody in charge. We got to get to the bottom of this. Meanwhile, we're six months removed from the Capitol riot and Republicans are still voting against looking into that at all. Like that was a legitimate attack on our Capitol building, Republicans want nothing to do with it, but Tucker Carlson says, hey, uh, somebody says I'm being spied on, and Republicans are like, oh hell no, we're getting to the bottom of this today. Devin Nunes stop what you're doing. Get on the phone. You find out what's happening with Tucker Carlson.

Now, if the NSA is in fact spying on Tucker Carlson, yes, we need to know that because it doesn't matter what your opinion is of Tucker Carlson. I think we can all agree he's a horrible, horrible human being spreading hate and division here in the United States and sometimes even worse than hate and division, you know, radicalizing millions of viewers. But that doesn't warrant him being spied on with the sole intention as he claims of ending his, his television program. That's not okay. Just like it wasn't okay when Donald Trump's spied on CNN reporters and other reporters. Just like it wasn't okay when the Obama administration spied on reporters from the Associated Press. It's never okay, but this is what the government has done repeatedly under both Republicans and Democrats and it does have to stop. You know, I have no reason to believe Tucker Carlson's words. Tucker Carlson is not a trustworthy individual.

His own lawyers have basically argued in court last year that no reasonable person would believe what comes out of his mouth to be statements of fact, that was their legal argument and they won. However, given the history of the federal government spying on reporters, spying on people in the media, spying on activists, that is the only reason why I think there could be some truth to Tucker Carlson's claims. But if there is truth, if, if there isn't truth, Devin Nunes, isn't going to be the man that's going to find this out. Right. Can we at least all agree on that? Devin Nunes is about one of the most incompetent Republicans in Congress. So it almost seems like McCarthy has given him this mission just to watch him fail.
