House Investigation Finds Trump's ‘Mar A Lago Three’ Broke Federal Law

I have to take you back in time for a moment here. Do you remember several years ago and I think that was probably, you know, three or four different sets ago for us here. But anyway, we talked about the fact that there was a group of people down at Mar-a-Lago, right, this was a big scandal at the time. Donald Trump would go down to Mar-a-Lago all the time. He would have dinner with different individuals some of them just rich people at Mar-a-Lago, others in positions of relative power, you know, mega millionaires, billionaires, some of them, and he would get their advice on how to run the federal government. But there was a deeper scandal too. You had a group of three who were dubbed the Mar-a-Lago Three who went out there and actively tried to, I guess, one way to put it would be take over the department of veterans affairs so that they could make a huge profit from it.

That was a big scandal at the time when that news broke. And again, that was many years ago in the, you know, first two years of the Trump administration. Well, this week in 2021, this week, the house oversight committee finally after investigating this, which honestly, I didn't even know they were investigating this. But the house oversight committee came out and said, guess what, the Mar-a-Lago Three, Ike Perlmutter, Marc Sherman and Bruce Moskowitz broke the law. They broke federal law, the oversight committee says. They used their ties to then president Trump to violate the federal advisory committee act by communicating with department officials to further their own personal interests. The documents the committee released shed light on the secret role the trio played in developing VA initiatives and programs, including a highly profitable plan to monetize veterans medical records.

That was according to a release by the house oversight committee. So these three men cashed in and Perlmutter, by the way, is the Marvel guy, Marvel comics guy. So, you know, he's making money hand over fist now, thanks to Disney. So they got a lot of money. They got a lot of power. They had a lot of influence over Donald Trump and the department of veterans affairs. House oversight committee comes out this week, says, yep, they definitely broke federal law. So, so now what? What do you do? See the house oversight committee isn't exactly a law enforcement agency, right. So the house oversight committee can't say, all right, take them away, boys. That's not what happens. In fact, this is, you know, kind of a unique situation here. What does happen? Who, who is the house oversight committee going to give these investigation results to? And then what's going to happen? Are these men going to be arrested?

Are they going to get a slap on the wrist or is the investigative body going to say okay. Uh, cool, thanks for this. Uh, see ya. What do you, what do you want me to do? And there, there in lies the problem, folks, we don't know where this goes from here. But clearly if these three men broke federal law, doesn't matter how much money they have, it doesn't matter what companies they run, they should be arrested. Right? Can we all agree on that? They used their connection to Donald Trump, which they had because of their money to influence the federal government's decisions at the department of veterans affairs. That's illegal. They should be arrested.
