Recently, Republican representative Adam Kinzinger, who has been one of the most outspoken anti-Trump Republicans in the House, he gave an interview with the Atlantic and he admitted that the Republican party is frigging crazy. The only reason this hurts me is that it reminds me of how frigging crazy the Republican party has become. It's not my tribe anymore. But it is because you haven't switched. You haven't become an independent, you're still a Republican. Oh and by the way, you still vote with Republicans on near every single issue, unless it involves impeaching Donald Trump. So what are you talking about here? You know, I sat over the weekend, this past weekend and stewed on this story. Just that one little quote from him.

And it's a very long story, but that, that one quote is what got me, because that to me is the only thing that matters. The rest of it is fluff actually setting up what I'm about to talk about here. I think Adam Kinzinger has his eyes on a bigger prize. Adam Kinzinger wants to position himself as the anti-Trump, as the sane Republican, as the one who can bring it all back to where it came from and I firmly believe that Adam Kinzinger wants to run for president. Maybe not in 2024, but definitely by 2028. That's what he's doing here. I firmly believe that. Adam Kinzinger, because the Democrats are already fawning all over him because, hey, he doesn't like Donald Trump. We don't like Donald Trump. We must be bestest buddies, right? No, that's not how it works. Please stop thinking like that. Kinzinger has voted against every single Democratic initiative that we can think of so far this year.

Those stimulus checks. Nope. He didn't vote for them. Infrastructure. Nope. He sided with his fellow Republicans because that is his tribe. But he goes out there, he gets all this wonderful publicity in spite of his horrendous voting record, going out there telling people like, hey, I'm not one of these crazy people. I'm not a loon. I just, I love my Republican party and I want it to go back to what it was. But we can't do that because of Donald Trump. There's a reason he's saying this. If he didn't have further political ambitions, he would have no need to do this. He would have no need to give these interviews. He wouldn't continue to be out there in the media. The guy is quickly becoming a household name. Whereas a year ago, nobody knew or even gave a crap who he was. This is all working out to Kinzinger's favor and he's doing it sneakily.

And he's doing it with Democrats on his side because the Democratic party still thinks that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. How many more times are you going to let Kinzinger stab you in the back when it comes time for an important vote because that's what he's done all year. Just because he voted with you the one time to impeach Trump doesn't mean you can trust him. Doesn't mean you should embrace him. All it shows is that he's setting up for something much bigger in the future. And because you've given him so much wonderful, good publicity, you might want to keep an eye on him because you've already helped propel him to what he is today.
