Donald Trump has made plans to host a major fundraising event at Mar-a-Lago for his handpicked MAGA candidates in this year's midterm elections. The candidates can use all the help they can get, as most of them are polling so far behind the people they are challenging that they barely even register. This is a make it or break it event for Trump, as he hopes to solidify his self-imposed title of GOP Kingmaker. In what the New York Times is calling Donald Trump's own shadow political party, Trump has announced that he will be in the coming month or so hosting an event down at Mar-a-Lago, of course, for some of his handpicked MAGA candidates and of course, a bunch of Super PACs so that they can raise money. Maybe give him some money, maybe give the candidates some money. It's effectively going to be a bit of a little political convention, but only for those who blindly support Donald Trump. The reason he is doing this is because Donald Trump wants to be the king maker of the Republican party. And he's already come out and he's endorsed a lot of candidates for office. Most of them are challengers to Republican incumbents who either voted to impeach Donald Trump, or they voted for things like the infrastructure bill and he's super about that.

So he's endorsing their opponents and in almost every single one of those races, those opponents that Trump has endorsed, are doing very, very poorly. Polling so low that they barely even register. Unable to raise money and of course their opponents, their Republican primary opponents, are raising more money off of Donald Trump endorsing their opponents. So Trump says, all right, so what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna hold this little event down here in Mar-a-Lago. We're gonna bring in all these different Super PACs, of course, that love me. I'm gonna bring in all the candidates that I've endorsed because they love me. And we're gonna see what we can do. I'm gonna see if I can bolster these individuals enough to actually unseat any Republicans that are trying to retain their seats. Now, what this is, is a true test for Donald Trump. If this fails, if this little Mar-a-Lago summit fails, I would take that to mean that Donald Trump's power within the Republican Party has diminished to the point where he would not run in 2024.

Trump may not be on the ballot this coming year, actually this year, um, but he's on the ballot this year because all of his little people are on the ballot. And depending on how each and every one of them does, that is a good reflection on how Trump would do in 2024. And it's early enough that the Republican party would be able to say, we're not going to anoint you king. We're gonna make you go through the primary process if you choose to run again in 2024. And I think Trump understands that. I think that is what this is all about. This is him testing the waters, but he's testing the water by pushing the other people into it and then saying, okay, is it warm enough for me yet? Can I get in? They're the fodder. So if they fail after everything he does for them, which statistics show us that a Trump endorsement makes it more likely you will lose an election than win an election, that's how powerful the king maker is in the Republican party.

But if they fail in this year's midterms, that's bad news for Trump, but it's good news for the Republican party and it may just give them a little bit of confidence boost that they needed to be able to tell him we don't want you to run in 2024. Lindsey Graham has already come out and said that if Trump up wants the 2024 nomination, it's his. No primary needed. If you say you're running, we'll give you the nomination. That's what Lindsey Graham said recently.
