These stories are becoming far too frequent, especially now that vaccines are readily available. The fact that these deaths aren't acting as a wake up call for Republicans is possibly even more terrifying, as it signals that there is nothing - no amount of death - that will convince them to be safe. A former orange county district attorney turned Republican activist by the name of Kelly Ernby has died of COVID 19. Now, Mrs. Ernby had spent quite a lot of time in the past year or so fighting against COVID restrictions, fighting against vaccine mandates and just in general, wanting everything to go back to normal because that's the way she wanted it to be. And now at the age of 46, I believe, she's died from COVID. In the prime of her life, was a former district attorney, had a lot going for her, even if she's on the Republican side, even if I disagree with everything she stands for, she still had a full life ahead of her, probably a very successful life. And she is now dead by the very thing she was fighting to allow to spread throughout California. That's what this is.

I take no joy whatsoever in talking about stories like this. I, I've said that a million times on here. But I've also said a million times, I'm going to highlight and point out each and every one of these as it happens, because I still hold out hope that eventually one of these deaths of one of these right wingers is going to be a wake up call for more people to get vaccinated and protect themselves. And for the record, protecting yourself doesn't just mean getting vaccinated. It means wearing a mask. It means socially distancing. It means avoiding large crowded areas when possible. That's it. That's all we need you to do. You can do these things safely. You can still enjoy your life safely. But that's too much for some of these people. They say, hell no, I'm not wearing a mask. I'm not gonna do it.

Let me tell you this. So far and I guess I gotta knock on wood, I have not had COVID. I'm triple vaxxed Moderna. Got my booster about a month ago. Was fully vaxxed as of March of this year. And so far since getting my second vaccination, I've been to Universal Studios twice for two straight weeks. I have been to Disney World in Orlando. I have flown with my family for a week in Colorado. I have flown for work for a week in Las Vegas, inside of a casino all week. I have gone to an NFL game, flew to North Carolina to go see the Panthers versus the Falcons and didn't get COVID. I and my entire family on each and every one of these events were masked up the whole time. As soon as my children were eligible to get the vaccines, they got the vaccines.

My whole family is fully vaxxed. My wife and I, the only ones eligible for the boosters are, are vaxxed and boosted. We wear masks when we go out. We still occasionally enjoy going out to eat and we do it safely. And so far, we haven't had any infections. Again, knock on wood. But what I'm saying here is that you don't have to fight against the protections just so you can live a normal life. You can live a normal life. And if we protect ourselves, we can get things back to normal and we can reduce and slow the spread of the virus. Now, maybe you think me doing all of these things this past year was irresponsible. Maybe it was. But I know that we were masked up the entire time. And I know that none of us got so much as a sniffle after being in crowded spaces with others who were also masked up because it's the policy.

None of us ended up dead. None of us ended up sick and none of us whined and complained about the COVID protections in place, because we understood they were there to protect us.
