Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell was asked by reporters this week about Republican Senator Rick Scott's poorly-conceived 11-point agenda, to which McConnell responded that HE will be the majority leader the next time Republicans are in charge, and HE will be the one to decide what moves forward and what doesn't. Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell is known as a guy who likes to keep quiet, right? He doesn't like to put all his cards out on the table. He doesn't like to get involved in scandals and he said, she said, kinds of things. He just likes to do his evil doings behind the curtain. Well, this week McConnell finally snapped, and he snapped at both Donald Trump and Republican Senator Rick Scott, when reporters on Tuesday asked him about Rick Scott's 11 point agenda for the Republican party. And here is what Mitch McConnell had to say about that plan. If we're fortunate enough to have the majority next year, I'll be the majority leader. I'll decide in consultation with my members, what to put on the floor. We will not have as part of our agenda, a bill that raises taxes on half the American people and sunset social security and Medicare after five years.

So again, two shots taken there. First and foremost, we know that Donald Trump is working behind the scenes to try to get Republicans to agree to kick Mitch McConnell out of his leadership position. So when Mitch McConnell said, I'll be the majority leader, that's a clear shot at Donald Trump. You're not gonna depose me. I'm here to stay and there's nothing you can do to change that. I run the show here, which of course is really the first show of strength, personally, we have ever seen from Mitch McConnell. Second, directly going after the most horrible parts, by the way, of Rick Scott's plan, because Mitch McConnell is not an idiot, unlike Rick Scott and Donald Trump. Two very unintelligent individuals. Mitch McConnell knows that Democrats of course, have been using Rick Scott's plan for fundraising, which is doing very well. Rick Scott has been universally panned across the country for this idiotic plan. And Mitch McConnell is trying to do some damage control. Like, no, we're not doing this. Pay no attention to this over here because he doesn't know what he's talking about.

So again, this is really the first time we've seen Mitch McConnell come out publicly and flex any kind of muscle whatsoever. So that has to tell us something too, right? It tells us that Mitch McConnell's getting off, but it also tells us that Mitch McConnell is probably getting a little scared too. He wants to reassert his dominance. He wants to make sure everybody knows that he is the guy and he wouldn't have had to have done that had Donald Trump not been out there openly pushing for Mitch McConnell to be stripped of his leadership position. So I think there is a little bit of fear with Mitch McConnell right now, which just shows you how deep this divide is truly becoming on the Republican side. But if you ask me, it doesn't really matter which one of them becomes the leader of the Republican party in the Senate. They're all terrible people with terrible ideas and terrible plans that will be horrible for the American public. So it doesn't matter if it's McConnell or Ted Cruz or Rick Scott or Rand Paul or any of them. They're all absolutely abhorrent human beings with plans that would absolutely destroy the lives of millions.
