Republicans Cry About 'Groomers' As Their Party Votes To Legalize Child Marriages

Republicans like Marjorie Taylor Greene have been screaming about "groomers" while trying to attack anyone who criticizes the anti-LGBTQ legislation that her Party is pushing, but the real groomers appear to be proud members of the Republican Party. In Tennessee, Republicans are pushing legislation that would remove ALL age requirements on marriages, allowing abusers to forcible wed their victims in order to avoid any kind of legal consequences of their actions. Recently Republicans have been going on and on and on about so-called groomers, right? The people that they believe are out there training children to, I guess, just become sexual objects for them to sell, for them to abuse, for them to do whatever the hell it is. But Republicans are throwing that word around like it's their new favorite thing that they just discovered, right? Groomer, groomer, groomer, groomer. Marjorie Taylor Greene has done it. Ron DeSantis down here in Florida has done it and plenty of other Republicans across the country are throwing it around. But I think what they're really doing is projecting, trying to cover up the fact that they apparently are the party of these so-called groomers. And if you need more evidence beyond what's already readily available, look at what the state of Tennessee is doing right now.

The Republican controlled state legislature is actually pushing legislation that of course was designed to, you know, persecute gay people by establishing marriage as between one man and one woman, even though the United States Supreme Court has already ruled on this issue and said that, nope, that's not the case. But in drafting this legislation, they did a big oopsie that they've admitted to and also said that they have no intention of fixing because they didn't put an age limit on when somebody can get married, not necessarily a limit, but an age requirement, excuse me, which means if this legislation passes and become law, becomes law, child marriage in the state of Tennessee would be totally legal. So these Republicans, the ones who are out there warning us about groomers, are actually passing a law right now in Tennessee to make it legal to wed, which would then make it legal to have intercourse with, a child.

So who's the groomers Republicans? Because I don't think it's the Democrats. I don't think they're pushing any of this legislation. In fact, the few of that are in the Tennessee legislature are pointing out this very fact to you and you're saying, yeah, we know, but eh, we're not gonna do anything about it. The Republican party is the party of groomers. That's what you are and this legislation is proof of that. You're out there throwing these wild accusations out about, you know, Democrats allegedly doing this, but, but it, but it's you. You're doing it and we now have the legislation, legislative proof of it. So here's the thing. Not only would this allow for the abuse of these individuals, but it would allow past abuse to basically become legal, right?

Because if you get busted abusing a child and then you say, oh no, no, no, no, no, I'm, I'm, I'm going to marry this child or you marry them through whatever it is, whatever forced coercion I don't, I don't care what it is, children. It it's just so sick. It's hard to even talk about, to be honest. So you've abused them and then you go and marry them and then you get to continue the abuse. That's what would happen under this legislation and Republicans know that, it has been in and out to them by the Democrats in that chamber and their response has been, oh well, who cares? Because we're too busy trying to persecute gay people because we think they're the bad guys. But in reality, we're giving a get outta jail free card to the real bad guys.
