Trump ranted that this is just a continuation of the "witch hunt" against him, and again reiterated that he made a "perfect" phone call to Georgia's Secretary of State. Donald Trump this week finally decided to get on his own social media app truth social, where he, of course fumed about the fact that the grand jury of course has been impaneled in the state of Georgia, specifically Fulton county by district attorney Fani Willis. So Donald Trump gets on truth social after months of radio silence from him and this is what he has to say. The witch hunt continues, this time in Fulton county, Georgia, considered one of the most corrupt areas anywhere in the country where a special get Trump grand jury has been convened to discuss a perfect phone call that was made by me. As president I am the chief law enforcement officer of the US. The election was rigged and stolen.

First of all, no, no, it was not. Second of all, did everybody catch what he said there? Did everybody understand what he was attempting to do? You know, not just attack the grand jury and all that crap, by talking about the fact that I am the chief law enforcement officer in this country, which actually you're not even that, what he was trying to do was go ahead and shift the narrative about that phone call, trying to say that, listen, I wasn't telling him go find the votes. I was telling him, I guess, investigate voter fraud in your state. Unfortunately for him, that's not going to work, right? We have the audio of the call. That is publicly available to anybody that spends five seconds searching for it. We know what you said. You said, go find the votes. You didn't say go investigate voter fraud.

So this little distraction, you know, this, this new narrative that he is trying to craft here, this isn't going to work. First of all, the attorney general, by the way of the United States is the top law enforcement officer in the United States, not the president. The president is the commander in chief of the armed forces, not the investigatory bodies. You, you would think somebody that was president would understand that, but apparently Donald Trump does not or he thinks his base is not smart enough to understand what he is doing here. And why is it that every phone call Donald Trump makes he describes as perfect, right? The phone call with Zelensky that led to his first impeachment. It was a perfect phone call. The phone call with Raffensperger in Georgia, a perfect phone call. Has anybody out there ever had a perfect phone call?

Like have you ever hung up the phone with somebody and said, wow, that was perfect. Could not have been better. What a weird way to describe any phone call that you've ever had, especially one that was recorded and is now of course being used against you to determine whether or not you violated the law. So we can probably expect more of this. Maybe Donald Trump's gonna have a bigger presence on truth social now, now that that grand jury has been impaneled and is starting to get to work. But who knows, maybe he'll realize eventually that he's barking in the dark, because nobody's on truth social. Remains to be seen, but one thing is clear, Donald Trump is obviously testing out new defenses and new distractions to try to make people forget what actually took place in Georgia via phone call in early 2020.
