4:02Now PlayingMichael Cohen knows Donald Trump as well as anyone - possibly even better than anyone - and he says that Trump is making too much money right now to even want to run for President again. Cohen makes a great case, as Trump has raised more than $100 million through his Super PAC that he's using to spend money at his own properties (thereby putting it directly in his pockets.) If he runs, that money goes away, so it will come down to what matters most: Trump's ego or his money. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

According to Donald Trump's former lawyer slash fixer Michael Cohen, there is no way in hell Donald Trump is gonna be running for president ever again. And the reason Michael Cohen says is actually quite simple. He is making too darn much money not running for president. So why would he give that up? Because as Cohen points out right now, the way Donald Trump's super pacs are set up, which doesn't include the new one that he just created. I'll get more to that in a moment. But the way his current Super pacs are set up, the ones that have a hundred million dollars, Trump can spend up to 90% of it. So 90 cents on every dollar they raise on whatever the hell he wants. And he has been doing that. He's been using it to pay for things at his own resorts. So that money, of course, indirectly goes back into his pocket.
He's been using it to travel around the country, give his rallies, tell people, give me more money. And they do. He is making a ton of money off of this gr and Cohen says, The Grif is too good. Why would he give it up? He loves money. Cohen also points out something else that I actually disagree with and let me read it. Most importantly, Trump has a real problem with being called a loser. There's something inside of him, possibly because he knows that he, uh, cannot stomach being a two time loser. He has an incredibly fragile ego To become a two time loser would just destroy him. So I do not, and I've always stated the same. I do not believe he's going to run. That's where I disagree with you. I, I'm not saying I do think 100% he is gonna run, but I do think a hundred percent gonna run.
I don't think that his ego would prevent him from running. I, I think the exact opposite. See, I think Donald Trump's ego is what is forcing him to run again. He was badly damaged in the ego department following his loss in 2020, which of course is why he spreads all these election lies and says, No, I didn't lose. Yeah, you did. Right? The lies, the big lie is from the ego because the ego will not let you accept that. It's the same reason he claims that, No, I actually won, uh, beat Hillary by 5 million votes. She didn't beat me by 3 million. That's the ego talking and the ego says, I want revenge. I wanna prove to the people I can beat this guy Joe Biden and sure gonna do it. So it will come down, I believe, to an argument that Trump is gonna have mentally, what do I love more? Me being a winner or money? Now I don't know which side wins. Cohen, who knows? Trump obviously almost better than anybody says the money side wins that. When it comes down to, I guess, choosing between ego and money, Trump will choose money. We'll have to wait and
See. Personally, I think the ego side might win over. I do think Trump will run again. As I said, he's actually set up a new super PAC that will allow him to spend money on a presidential campaign. That is the only difference between that pack and the ones he already has. So he set up a new one that he can use to fund a campaign, but he can't use the other ones to fund a campaign. So why set up the new one? All signs point to Trump running all signs. Point to the ego beating out the money, but it'll remain to be seen again. Cohen knows him much better than I do, but we'll have to wait and see.
