The relationship between Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene has taken a dramatic turn this week, as the pair are at odds with one another about who to support as Speaker of the House for the upcoming Congress. Greene wants Kevin McCarthy back, but Gaetz wants someone else, and he came out AGAINST his former ally after she endorsed McCarthy. Well folks, it's tough times for the relationship between Matt Gates and Marjorie Taylor Green, the once inseparable duo that toured the country in the summer of 2021 to talk to dozens of people along the campaign trail. Things turned sour this week between them when Matt Gates decided that he did not appreciate Marjorie Taylor Green endorsing Kevin McCarthy to be the Republican speaker of the House come January. Now, of course yesterday they held the vote. He was challenged by Andy Bigs, McCarthy won. But as Matt Gates told us he did not win by enough, that makes it certain that he's even gonna get it. So we don't really know who's gonna get that speakership until the real vote happens. But again, Marjorie Taylor Green endorsed Kevin McCarthy on Monday, which prompted Matt Gates to go running to his buddies over in conservative media. Uh, this is what he had to say, on Mike Lindell's, Frank's speech, whatever Kevin has promised Marjorie Taylor Green, I guarantee you this is at the first opportunity. He will zap her faster than you can say Jewish Space Laser.

I wish that wasn't the case, but it is the conduct and it is the pattern and practice of Kevin McCarthy over years that showcased this. So not only are you saying that Marjorie Taylor Greed is being duped by Kevin McCarthy, you then had to take the shot at your former friend for her Jewish space Laser comment. And it's clever. I'm not saying you shouldn't have, but she's your friend Matt. You don't have a lot of buddies and, and I think we all kind of know why, but Marjorie Taylor Green was your bestie again. You guys traveled the country together. You formed a joint political action committee. That's almost like having a child together and now you're attacking her and mocking her for things she said in the past, all because she did something, one thing you didn't like. Wow. How quickly the tables turned there, huh buddy?

But I don't know that he's wrong either. See, Marjorie Taylor Green has been in Kevin McCarthy's ear for quite some time and she has basically gotten him, she's broken him to the point where he is like, I'll give you whatever you want. You wanna be on this committee, I'll put you on that committee. You wanna do this investigation, I'll let you do this investigation. That's according to Marjorie Taylor Green. So Green came out Monday. As I said, she endorsed McCarthy for the speakership because she says, Listen, we need somebody that can actually unite the Republicans. Kevin McCarthy has done that in the past. If we don't get everybody to support him, you know, cuz the Democrats get to vote on speaker of the House too. If they get one or two defections from the Republicans, they could put

Pelosi back, they could put Liz Cheney up there. So her strategy is correct, like Marjorie Taylor Green is right about the strategy. Matt Gates is wrong on strategy, but probably right about Marjorie Taylor Green getting duped to support Kevin McCarthy. So this is a very weird instance where both individuals are wrong and at one point they are both right. But at the end of the day, this relationship that seems so promising in the beginning has now headed south and I just don't know if those two can repair it.
