So Farron, any idea why Biden has not placed a bunch of Democratic judges on the bench? My understanding is there are a buttload of positions awaiting judges. What is the holdup? Did you actually know, by the way? Just cuz you mentioned, but load a buttload is actually a real unit of measurement. So take that little factoid with you, share it with your family over the holidays. It's an interesting one. Look it up anyway. Why is he not appointing all these judges to the bench? The answer is, of course, he is Two years into his presidency, president Biden has appointed more federal judges at this point than Donald Trump had. At this point. Biden has put more people on the bench than Donald Trump. Now listen, you know me, I'll criticize Biden any opportunity I get. Not a huge fan of the guy, but I do believe in credit where credit is due, right?

Our, our mantra here is we gotta call the balls and the strikes. And with the judicial appointments, Biden's been hitting home runs and it's really one of the under reported issues of his presidency, which I'm sure is probably what led to this question. It's so under reported. I think I've done like three segments on it though this year it's so under reported that people don't think it's happening, but it is happening. Biden is having a great amount of success with appointing these federal judges. Now it's true, we still have lots of vacancies out there. We have judicial nominees that are sitting waiting in the Senate, and now that we didn't lose control of the Senate in the midterms, he's gonna be able to get those people on the bench, which is probably one of the biggest advantages of not losing that Senate. I know that sounds weird, but that's how it is.

So he is getting these judges out here, but it's not just that he is getting judges. Obama got a lot of judges out there, and Obama was picking judges from corporate defense firms. He picked so many corporate judges who spent their careers fighting against consumers, that some of Obama's best consumer friendly policies were actually overturned by the very judges he put in power because that's how anti-consumer they were. Biden's actually not doing that. Biden for the most part, has picked plaintiff's lawyers, the people who've defended consumers their entire careers. People like Mike Papantonio, not perhaps not a federal judge, but people who have the same law career as Pap. Um, he's appointed multiple different public defenders. The people who know what it's like to work with the indigent, uh, uh, defendants. Those people tho those, that's the big one for me. Really getting those public defenders on the bench, that is huge. And, and that could absolutely close the gap on this two-tiered justice system we have in the United States. Um, so he's picked a lot of people, he's picked a lot of good people. And again, it, it's a, it's a victory that Biden himself, um, I is not getting enough credit for. And he absolutely deserves the credit for.
