House Republican Meeting Devolves Into Profane Screaming Match

During a meeting on Tuesday, House Republicans resorted to screaming profanities at one another while Kevin McCarthy desperately tried to secure enough votes to become the next Speaker of the House. According to reports, McCarthy shouted that he's "earned" the right to become Speaker, to which Lauren Boebert replied "bullsh*t!" So yesterday in Congress was quite a day, wasn't it? Folks, Kevin McCarthy. Three separate votes to make him speaker three separate losses. So as it stands right now, Congress of course reconvened today at noon, but as of right now, we actually don't have members of the House of Representatives because nobody can be sworn in until that speaker is chosen. So, uh, this is definitely unprecedented. The last time anybody lost, the first ballot election for speaker was actually in the year 1923. So this is a hundred years since we've even seen anything close to this, and that's the situation we're in. But before the votes happened, that's when the real fireworks took place because according to reports, yesterday morning, Kevin McCarthy gathered up all his little Republicans, took him into a closed door meeting. Reporters were not allowed in, but reporters did stand outside the room where they heard McCarthy shouting and cursing at his fellow Republicans.

And at one point he screamed at them, I've earned this job. And it was when McCarthy yelled, I've earned this job, that Lauren Bobert stood up and said, quote, this is. And the rest, as we know, is history. But yesterday, of course, was incredibly entertaining. You had Republican on Republican verbal violence. You had Matt Gates and Lauren Bobert taking on Dan Crenshaw and Marjorie Taylor Green and unlikely duo, but there they are fighting for McCarthy. Dan Crenshaw went on. Fox News said that all these Republicans were acting childish all throughout the day. Actually on Fox News, you know, all the way through Sean Hannity's program, they were all talking about how Republicans were making themselves look like idiots. So it's pretty bad, like when you've lost everybody on Fox News, Republicans, you'd know something's not right within your own party. And again, even Marjorie Taylor Green was calling out her friends in interviews.

She specifically said Matt Gae. She specifically called out Lauren Bobert, although there's already been some bad blood there to begin with. It was total complete chaos for the Republican party yesterday with every single one of them leaving humiliated and embarrassed, except of course Matt Gates and Lauren Bobert. They walked out, they had gone back to their offices, they changed clothes, they were happy, smiling, walking through the quarters. Actually, they got lost tr trying to exit the capitol at one point. Uh, that was on video. So overall, just a very weird day, which is pretty much a preview of what we can expect for the next two years. If, of course,

Republicans can get their ducks in a row and elect a speaker. So we actually have a Congress, but it's not gonna be pretty, it's not gonna be fun. It'll be funny at some points, but the next two years will be chaos. Yesterday was day one and it went horribly for every one. I have no reason to believe that the next two years are going to be any different.
