Republican Proposes Bill To Make AR 15 'National Gun Of America'

Republican Representative Barry Moore from Alabama has put forward legislation that would make the AR-15 the "National Gun of America." This weapon has been used in countless mass shootings in the United States, which is a very uniquely American happening, but to honor a product put out by a single company is beyond disgusting, especially given its history. The AR 15 has pretty much been one of the weapons of choice for mass shooters across the United States for many, many years. Now, it also has become a symbol for those on the right of proud gun owners across the country. So yes, it's associated with mass murders and horrible atrocities, but republicans really seem to just love that gun. In fact, recently they were wearing little AR 15 pens on the floor of Congress. And this week a Republican representative from the state of Alabama, a man by the name of Barry Moore, got on Twitter, posted a picture of himself at a gun shop in Troy, Alabama, and he said this, the Second Amendment is as American a right as freedom of speech, religion, and the press. Today I unveiled my bill to make the AR 15, the National Gun of America. We must send a message that we will meet every attack on any of our constitutional rights.

Now, aside from that statement, not making any sense, you do realize that the rest of the world looks at the United States as a bunch of gun toting, you know, shoot everybody up rednecks, right? I mean, basically Barry Moore and Troy, Alabama, that's what the entire world thinks all of Americans are. So you're not doing anything to help that negative image that, uh, non-Americans have of us. So thanks for that. We really appreciate it. Um, furthermore, we, we don't have a national gun. We don't need a national gun as a symbol of America, especially one that is the weapon of choice for most mass shooters in this country. You're basically showing that, hey, these people are just out there exercising their Second Amendment rights, right? What a deplorable, and I chose that word deliberately thing to even suggest if you wanna support everybody's right to own a gun, go out and support that. I disagree with you, but you can support that. But you cross a line when you say that we need to have a National gun of America. What, why, why not a national knife? What's our national sword? What's our national desk? Do we have a national chair that's just as logical? Do we need a national car? These people are such pandering, dumb asses that they come up with idiotic ideas like this. Oh, and by the way, AR 15 is in fact a brand name. So it's not just making a style of gun, the national gun, it's making a specific

Product. AR 15 is a trademark owned by the Cult Gun Manufacturing Company. So it's a cult product that's like saying, okay, we're gonna have a national soda and we're picking Coca-Cola. Don't you think every other soft drink manufacturer's gonna be like, whoa, whoa, whoa, hold the hell up. Whoa, whoa, this is not fair. This is not cool. We have a good Pepsi over here. Why do we not get to be the national drink? So, his little gun thing, it's gonna pander to the, you know, dumb asses in Alabama. Absolutely sure they're gonna be happy with that. The rest of the country, including gun manufacturers who do not make AR fifteens, they're probably gonna be pretty off, and the rest of the country is gonna continue to be disgusted.
