Here's a question from Rosalyn Johnson 2383, who says, Goodday Farn love your show. I'm an Ozzy who follows us politics as best I can. I remember the story maybe over a year ago about it being reported that Lauren Bobert had had an abortion, which she denied. Does she ever file the lawsuit against that reporter as she said she was going to? Just curious. This is actually a great question cuz we actually just had some developments on this particular issue. Um, the group that she said she was gonna file a lawsuit against American Muckrakers, she did file a lawsuit against them. And I believe, uh, last I had seen, I think that lawsuit got dismissed. On the other hand, American Muckrakers has now filed a counter suit to Lauren Bobert alleging that she slandered them in her defense. You know, while she was out there saying, oh, this, this reporting is fake, these people are fake.
So she says all these horrible things about them, tarnishes their credibility. So they're like, okay, well guess what? We can sue you back. You know, we can sue you under these anti slapp laws that are in place throughout the United States because when you sued us, you also said things publicly that were untrue about us. You know, we had our documentation. If it was, uh, you know, false or untrue, we still had the means to back it up. And so if the sources lied to us, you know, that's not something we can necessarily control. Now, again, I don't know if the reporting is accurate, right? And, and again, I don't know if we can ever really know that, but they reported what they had based on the sources that they had. And so you're, you're allowed to do that here in the United States. And if the party, by the way, that files the suit cannot prove that it's false, then they've got a real problem, which I think is what happened obviously with Lauren Bobert. So she is now being counter sued by this group, American Muckrakers. I wish them all the best. I hope they are successful in this because I do believe that Lauren Bobert needs to be held accountable for what she said about that organization that was simply trying to do real good journalism. So that's what's happening with that. Again, great question and very timely because we just, uh, uh, got that lawsuit filed not long ago.
