3:38Now PlayingDuring an appearance on Sean Hannity's program Monday evening, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy suggested that a House investigation into President Biden could quickly turn into an impeachment inquiry in the near future. The "evidence" that McCarthy says exists is simply the testimony of several discredited witnesses who claim that Biden's DOJ interfered with the work of the prosecutor looking into Hunter Biden. The witnesses themselves are facing massive legal troubles, but so far alleged criminals are the only people Republicans can find to say what they want to hear. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

House speaker Kevin McCarthy continues to inch closer and closer towards announcing that Republicans in the house are going to impeach President Biden. On Monday evening, Kevin McCarthy went on Sean Hannity's Fox News program, where he talked about the ongoing investigations in the house that are totally uncovering super real and verifiable things, by the way. But he said this to Sean Hannity, we've only followed where the information has taken us, but Hannity, this is rising to the level of impeachment inquiry, which provides Congress the strongest power to get the rest of the knowledge and information needed. Oh, so you don't, you don't actually have the knowledge and the information yet. So you wanna launch an impeachment inquiry based on nothing, so that you could then maybe find the information that you think might possibly exist somewhere so that you might then possibly be able to impeach the guy.
That's, that's what Kevin McCarthy is saying. Like, we don't have it. We, we know it may exist. Please forgive the cat meowing in the background, but we totally might do this based on nothing. Now Kevin McCarthy, I'm sorry that cat is driving me crazy. Um, Kevin McCarthy has cited obviously the two i r s whistleblowers who spoke to Congress last week and said that we're totally convinced that the D O J interfered and didn't allow the Trump appointed prosecutor David Weiss to properly do his job. But even David Weiss has come out and said, that's not true. Everything these guys are saying didn't actually happen. So we have two alleged whistleblowers that have now caused the Speaker of the House of Representatives to say that we should have an impeachment inquiry. Even though the guy that they're alleging was mistreated has said none of this happened, and Kevin McCarthy is still pushing for it like an idiot because this is what they do.
They have nothing. If Donald Trump wasn't currently under indictment, Republicans in the house would not be talking about Hunter Biden. They would not be talking about impeaching President Biden. All this is, is a massive distraction, and they're hoping that the public has been stupid enough to not be paying attention to the fact that they have not come up with a single shred of evidence in the house during any of these hearings. All they have is a bunch of hearsay. They've got a bunch of rumors. They literally have a bunch of people who are wanted for federal crimes coming in and saying, oh, I totally think Hunter Biden did this. That's where we're at. They're relying on people that are either currently facing indictments, people that are under indictment, people that have been revealed to be fake whistleblowers, people that have been revealed to be on the
Payroll of Donald Trump's good friend Kosh Patel. That's who they're relying on, and that's what this entire impeachment inquiry would be. Hinged upon all four, as Kevin McCarthy said, to maybe find the evidence we need to possibly show that Biden committed a crime.
