California Woman Murdered By Man Who Was Angry At Her Pride Flag

A California shop owner has been murdered after a dispute with an angry man over the Pride Flag that was flying outside of her shop. The man was later killed after a confrontation with police, so there will, unfortunately, not be a chance to put the man on trial for his act of domestic terrorism. This is what the violent and angry rhetoric against the LGTBQ Community will continue to foster until the hate stops. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what happened.

A shop owner in California was sadly gunned down at the end of last week after a man showed up at her store, a, a store that was located in Cedar Glen, California. It's called Magpie Clothing. She had a, a pride flag outside of her store according to members of the community. She was a very, very strong ally of the L G B T Q community. She had nine kids in a blended family and some hate filled, bigoted domestic terrorist went to her shop, off about the pride flag. They had a, an argument according to the reports, and he shot her dead because she had a pride flag outside of her, the, the outside of the business that she owned. Now, she's dead, so is the shooter. He died not long after in a confrontation with the police where things became violent. And that also, by the way, is a shame. I didn't want that man to be killed by the police. I mean, let's be honest. I have no sympathy that he was killed by police, but I didn't want him to be killed by police. I wanted him to go through the justice system.

He should have been able to have been held accountable. We should have gotten that kind of closure from stories like this because it's not enough for the family of that woman who was killed. They're still reeling from the shock of this, and they're not gonna get to have that closure of going into that courtroom and watching this man get convicted. They're not gonna have the closure of walking into a courtroom and watching him get sentenced to life behind bars, knowing that for the rest of his days, he will never step outside of a prison ever again. That's justice. They don't get that to happen. They don't get a trial. Now, they don't get to hear why this man took their mother away. Why this man took their spouse away, took their child away. The family doesn't get to hear that. Not that that makes it better, but that is a part of the closure that this family is now forever denied. So, as I said, I didn't want this man to be killed by police. I wish he hadn't been. But here's the part that we all have to pay attention to about this story, this hateful rhetoric that we see coming solely from Republicans and those on the right against the L G B T uh Q Community. Excuse me, thi this is what it begets. This is what it does.

Angry hateful rhetoric leads to violence. You don't believe me. How about you just look up human history? When one group becomes vilified above all others, and that one group is suddenly to blame for all the horrible things that happen in that country, they become the targets. And Republican politicians, little pip squeak, right wing pundits. They're putting targets on all these people,

The members of the community themself, their allies, their businesses. Every single Republican politician and pundit out there is taking a big target and setting it upon them, saying, these are the enemies. Go do what you want. They don't have to encourage any other, in any other way, excuse me, than they already have telling people that these are horrible human beings. They're groomers. They wanna hurt your kids. They wanna indoctrinate your kids. For some people, that is all the push they need be lied to about just a handful of little things, and they suddenly become vigilantes out there to kill people because some right, right-wing politician or pundit told him these people were evil. They had no evidence to back up the claims that these people were evil. There never is. But they don't need evidence because we're dealing with a party of psychos.
