Trump Is Now Extorting Republicans To Get Their Endorsements

Donald Trump is apparently getting angry about the fact that his Republican rivals keep getting high-profile endorsements, so he's decided to do what he does best and bully Republicans into endorsing him. He took a shot at both Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz over the weekend in a post on Truth Social, and Hawley - the guy who wrote an actual book about being a manly man - immediately bowed to pressure and endorsed Trump. Nikki Haley is being endorsed by the Republican governor of New Hampshire. Couple weeks ago, Ron DeSantis got endorsed by the Republican governor of Iowa. Now, those, of course, are the very first two contests for the Republicans in the upcoming primary, and those are rather big endorsements. Not, not that they've helped either candidate, but still they're big. And Donald Trump's getting a little jealous. He wants endorsements for himself, because let's be real, they've been few and far between. Donald Trump is not racking up the endorsements like he used to, and the only people who have already come out and endorsed him are the MAGA freaks who were gonna definitely endorse him anyway, even if he wasn't running. But this weekend, Donald Trump decided to come up with a new strategy. He wasn't just gonna sit and wait for people to come and endorse him. No, no, no, no. He was going to extort them, threaten them into endorsing him.

And the sick part of it, it totally worked. Here's what Donald Trump put on social media over this weekend. He said, so interesting that the Democrats are looking hard at the Senate races in both Missouri and Texas. Josh and Ted must be very careful stranger Things have happened. Now, when he says Josh and Ted, he's referring to Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz. So he issues what could be seen as a very direct threat to these people. Like Stranger Things have happened. The Democrats are coming after you. Wouldn't it be nice to have somebody big and powerful on your side, but you know, you scratch my back first. Well, Josh Hawley, the guy who, let's not forget, recently wrote a book on being a manly man, immediately cowered like a kick dog, and came out and said this. I'm with him. He's asked me several times to support him. I said, yes. And I've been saying for a year that I think he's gonna be the nominee. I support him. I'm gonna vote for him. Don't worry. You can put me down as support endorsed. Stand with.

Well, look at that manly man. Would you? Oh, all it took was Donald Trump literally threatening you for you to be like, oops, sorry, sir. I totally endorse you. I support you. I stand with you. What do you want? Do you like my shoes? Do you want my shoes? You can have anything. I have. You want my wife? I can't stand to kiss her based on the pictures everybody's seen. And that's how Trump gets endorsements. I mean, this is so dumb. You know, I, I, I sit here, I talk about politics every day. And, and some days it's just too dumb. Everything is too dumb. And it really wears on me. Maybe it's 'cause I know the end of the year is coming up. I'm just getting tired. But my God, can Republicans really not stand up? Can, can, can they pretend for a moment to have a spine? The answer is no. They cannot. None of them can. You've even got, like Ken Buck and I talked about this the other

Day, day, Ken Buck out there who says like, well, there's no evidence to impeach Biden, but I'm probably gonna vote for it anyway. They're weak. They're pathetic. They are useless. That is today's Republican party. And Josh Hawley is absolutely the poster child for that pathetic, spineless, weak, but most importantly, useless.
