This helps explain why Evangelicals are drawn to Trump even though he is one of the most Godless human beings to ever walk the planet. According to the results of a new survey conducted by a political, uh, uh, scientist at Denison University, the number of Americans, not Republicans, but Americans who believe that Donald Trump was anointed by God to be the President of the United States, is absolutely shocking. According to his survey results, 30%, 30%, nearly a third of the country believes that God himself or herself personally chose Donald Trump to be the President of the United States. Now, this 30% number does help us to understand a little bit why evangelicals are standing by the godless, Donald Trump. You know, the man who's had more affairs than we can count, uh, you know, well-documented affairs. It's not like that's, you know, speculation or anything we know that's happened. Um, you know, the, the dozens of women that have accused him of sexual misconduct, you know, the one who sued him for sexual assault, where Trump was found liable for the sexual assault, the man who told, according to Washington post fact-checkers, more than 25,000 lies in office, the man who routinely and repeatedly attacks immigrants, even though the Bible literally tells us to accept these people and embrace these people, that's the man that evangelicals say, yep, God picked him.

But here's my, here's my take on this. If there is a God, you know, let's assume that there definitely is, you know, I know I, I get a lot of you watching this. Maybe, maybe not people of faith maybe don't believe, but let's assume for the sake of argument, God definitely exists. Right? If that is the case, I think these folks are right. I think God did choose Donald Trump to be the President of the United States, because I went to Catholic school for, for many years and then, you know, grew up within the Catholic church growing up. So I'm familiar with the actual teachings of the Bible and all that, and I do think that God picking Donald Trump to be the President of the United States falls in line with a lot of Old Testament punishments, right? Pillar assault type stuff, flood the earth type stuff. I mean, we all know the story of Noah, right? God punishes the wicked. So yeah, when you look at it that way, it does make sense that God would send Donald Trump to the United States to be like, all right, listen, a-holes, you are so bad. You're doing such horrible things. I'm gonna punish you, but I'm not gonna flood you. I'm not gonna smash you with a pillar of salt. I'm not gonna send a plague.

We'll do that a little bit later. I'm gonna send you Donald Trump. That's the plague. You get, you get this corrupt, narcissistic, mentally unstable that is your punishment for possibly the evangelicals, of course, using God's name for their own prophet. So when you look at it that way, you can kind of justify like, you know what, maybe God did send Donald Trump, but he, he didn't send him to save us. He sent him as a warning that, Hey, you'all are screwing up real bad. Here's your punishment for four years. Straighten up and act right. Or maybe I'll send him back.
