Trump May Get Sued A Third Time For Defaming E Jean Carroll

Donald Trump has already technically lost his second trial for defaming writer E. Jean Carroll, and it may not be the last time, either. According to new reports, Carroll's lawyers have said that recent comments that Trump has made where he appears to have defamed Carroll again will definitely come up in court, but they wouldn't specify whether it would be in the current trial or in a future trial. Donald Trump is currently losing yet another defamation trial brought against him by Eugene Carroll, right? His culpability, his liability, excuse me, has actually already been determined. All that they're doing in the current trial is determining how much more money he has to pay her after losing the first defamation trial, where he has to pay her 5 million from that. And according to reports, he may get hit with a third defamation trial because he can't stop defaming Eugene Carroll, he's done it at rallies in recent weeks since the trial began. He did it on true social, literally as the trial began, he was in the courtroom, but he had scheduled posts where he was calling her a liar, which is what got him sued in the first place, denying he had ever met her, which a jury already determined was false. So he's making all these false claims. And now Eugene Carroll's lawyer has said that a press conference he gave on January 17th.

So, you know, a little over a week ago, he made comments that once again, defamed Eugene Carroll, and they have said they're gonna submit 'em to court. But here's the caveat. They didn't say they were gonna submit 'em for this case. They could be implying that we're gonna submit them to the court in a third case. But if you ask me, it's not the comments that he made during that press conference that are really the defamatory ones. It's a post he made on truth social that was based on a false statement Alina Haba made in court that he should really be worried about and he should be sued about. See, a week ago in court, Alina Haba got up and she implied that Eugene Carroll had illegally purchased a gun and ammunition for that gun. The judge immediately after the, you know, uh, uh, plaintiff's lawyers objected, the judge immediately sustained the objection and struck that from the record, Trump didn't care about the objection and the sustaining.

And he got on truth social later that evening and said that Eugene Carroll had illegally purchased a gun. That to me, based on everything Trump has said about Eugene Carroll, that is the most defamatory thing he has ever said about her. And I'll tell you why. When it comes to defamation, slander, libel, one of the, like the top thing, it's not even one of it is the top thing you cannot say about a person is that they are a criminal or they did something illegal. You have to say alleged. If you call somebody a criminal and they have not been convicted, you can and will get sued for defamation. That's easy. That

Is textbook. That is, you will not win that case. If I were to say right now that Donald Trump is a criminal, that's a false statement because he has not been convicted. So I couldn't say that he could sue me for that. I'd win, but he could. And that is what he effectively said about Eugene Carroll. He said she did something illegal and you cannot make a blanket statement like that, especially when you are the former president of the United States, and she is not a public figure. So that should be the statement that leads to the third lawsuit. But whatever it is, probably a combination of all of them. It seems very likely at this point that Trump will in fact be hit with a third defamation lawsuit from Eugene Carroll. And it's also pretty obvious he'll lose that one too.
