George Santos Mocks Republicans After Democrats Flip His Seat

Republicans lost the special election to replace George Santos this week, giving Democrats one more seat in the US House. Santos used the opportunity to mock Republicans for kicking him out of Congress and basically pulled a "how do you like me?" on them after they lost his seat. Santos was toxic to the Party and to the House itself and had to go, but that hasn't stopped Republicans this week from expressing their regret about kicking him out. As Republicans were busy impeaching Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Tuesday evening, they were also busy losing the special election for the seat that was vacated when George Santos was expelled from Congress. So win some, lose some for Republicans on Tuesday, right? Uh, they actually lost a couple other races, Democrats overperformed at all the elections on Tuesday. A really great showing that most of the polls are clearly bs. Democrats are doing just fine. Back to the point here, Republicans lost a seat in a closely divided House of Representatives, and now George Santos is out there taking a, I guess you call it victory lap because he is absolutely torching Republicans for kicking him out in the first place. Here's two separate posts that he made on social media following their defeat on Tuesday evening. The first one said, Hey, Americans, please thank these two gyms for losing a seed in the house today. He was referring to a state Republican Congressman Anthony, uh, Desto and Nick Lo, uh, LOA. Um, so he's like, Hey, these two guys are responsible. But then he gets on social media and says this, I won New York's third district with $0 Super PAC money, $0 CLF money and $0 establishment money. Tonight, the establishment set $10 million on fire. I flipped a 23 year blue seat with the help of grassroots activists by activating the base with retail politics.

Note, you actually won an election because you sold the voters a fake human being. Like you took all the things that people were sympathetic to and that people like to hear in these stories of politicians coming from nothing. You know, your mother died in nine 11, eh? She died many years later. Uh, not to mention, oh, my grandparents were in the Holocaust. No, they weren't. I was a volleyball star until my knee blew out. No, you weren't. I did all these things at college. No, you didn't even go, at least not to the one you said you did. You sold voters a fake image of a person that you wish you were, and that's who they voted for. It's not because you were anti-establishment, it's because you lied to their faces and apparently based on the charges against you, you were also corrupt as hell. I didn't take any money from these groups. No, but you sure as hell put a lot in your pockets according to the indictments against you. Nevertheless, Santos did need to be expelled. He was a stain on New York's third district. He was a stain on the US House of Representatives, but since Republicans have now lost that seat, they're expressing remorse according to Punchbowl, News's, Jake Sherman, many house Republicans are now saying they quote, shouldn't have expelled Santos

On the grounds that it cost them a seat in a narrowly divided Congress. So Republicans, who were all gung-ho about expelling Santos, what's that? Once that ethics committee report came out said, hell yeah, let's get him outta here. And it was a good thing. Like literally the only good thing the Republican Party has done in years and years and years. The one good thing you do, and now you're like, man, we shouldn't have done that. Oops. I guess we shouldn't occasionally be honest. I guess we shouldn't ever do the right thing because it comes back to bite us. Th this is the lesson that they've taken from this. Would you do the right thing? Bad things happen. Let's keep doing the stupid thing and see how that works out. That should be the motto of today's Republican party.
