Boebert Bails On Primary Debate After Getting Humiliated The Night Before

Republicans in Colorado's 4th Congressional district decided to have back-to-back primary debates on Friday and Saturday, but Lauren Boebert didn't show up for the Saturday debate. One possible reason is because she got utterly humiliated and lashed out at the moderator of Friday night's debate when the moderator brought up Boebert's Beetlejuice shenanigans, which then caused the other candidates to dogpile on her. But her absence didn't stop the attacks on Saturday, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Lauren Bobert participated in two primary debates last week, but when it came time for that third debate this past Saturday, hosted by the Grizzly Rose, uh, uh, Republican women of Weld and the Lincoln Club of Colorado, uh, the third debate there Saturday bobert decided, you know what? I'm done. I am not going to do this anymore. I already got the crap kicked outta me in two debates earlier this week. I'm not going to this one. And for the record, she did get the crap kicked out of her in the Friday night debate. She was asked by the moderator Kyle Clark, about her, you know, Beetlejuice shenanigans, which she stumbled and stammered her way through that, uh, answer before eventually attacking Kyle Clark saying, you know, you published the videos. This was a private moment, is how she described it. Like feeling up her date in public was very private to her, but overall it was a very poor showing on Friday.

So she decided, I'm not gonna do this debate on, uh, Saturday, which according to the people who put the debate together, she had told them in advance she wasn't gonna be there, you know, I guess to spare herself a little more humiliation. However, her decision to not attend the debate did not spare her any humiliation at all because all of her Republican rivals in that race, all five of them decided to pile on her while she wasn't there. Now, these Republican, uh, uh, people running in this race as well, uh, candidates, excuse me. You have Mike Lynch, you have Richard Hol Torf, you have Jerry Sonenberg, Peter U and Deborah Flora. So here's what they had to say. Lynch said this about Bobert and her record. He said, I've actually passed legislation. We are hearing a whole bunch of rhetoric that really doesn't ever talk about results.

This race and this time is important enough that we need people who know how to get stuff done. I would never abandon my district. Then Flora chimed in and said, it really is time to rebuild our party. This district needs someone that reflects them and will reach out to our neighbors and treat them like what? They are not our enemy. Someone for us to persuade. Sonenberg, chimed, uh, chimed in and said, integrity and character in my neck of the woods is vital. If you're looking for someone that wants to be on tv, I'm not it. If you want somebody that's a workhorse and not a show horse, that's me, you chimed in and said, I can count on one hand how many people are supporting her talking about Bobert throughout the district. I feel like, uh, uh, she is who she is. But in regards to what the difference between me and her is, I have connection to this district. I believe hard work matters. People realize that's who I am, that's why I'm out there. Then Hurf said this,

Let's talk about why you need a fighter, a warrior, because we are in a battle for the Republic. I wanna talk about the difference. Bobert voted against the water projects in Colorado, in Washington DC for Colorado. How do you do that? If you represent this state, you can't. She doesn't know Eastern Colorado, and she was the wrong fit for this congressional district. So again, even though she wasn't on the stage, everybody still took shots at her. And of course they did mention the fact that yes, she's moving to this district 'cause she knows she can't win on her own.
