4:42Now PlayingRepublicans in the House of Representatives finally found a crime committed by Hunter Biden (they think.) The irony is that the crime isn't even related to any of the things they have been "investigating" him for, and instead they are claiming that he lied to them during their impeachment inquiry into President Biden. So they got Hunter on a completely separate thing that only happened because they were conducting a witch hunt. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains how absurd this whole thing is.

Republicans proudly announced James Comer, Jim Jordan, Jason Smith. All three of these Republican House Committee chairman sent a letter to the DOJ saying, we finally have a crime committed by Hunter Biden and we need you, department of Justice to prosecute this guy. We got him, they said, and they got him, of course, allegedly on a crime that they essentially forced him to commit if he committed a crime at all. Because you see, even though Republicans have been investigating Hunter Biden for a year and a half now, these, uh, uh, uh, this referral I I'll call it, is not related to the investigation into Hunter Biden. That's the most hilarious thing imaginable. You spent a year and a half investigating this guy trying to come up with a reason for the DOJ to prosecute him. You got nothing. So instead, when they called Hunter in to testify during their impeachment inquiry into President Biden, they say that he lied to us.
You can't lie to Congress. He was under oath. So you have to prosecute him and James Biden, of course, for lying to Congress. So, ha ha, we got you bastards. Right? Again, the funny thing is, they would not have committed a crime or allegedly committed a crime, I should say, had they not been called in to testify. So it is kind like you guys made them do what you're accusing them of doing. So that's kind of funny because if you hadn't even called them in, you wouldn't have had a reason to prosecute them. Kind of like with the whole Bill Clinton impeachment thing, uh, you couldn't find any illegal activity, so you got 'em for lying to Congress. And by the way, after that, his approval rating went through the roof. So, you know, be careful, you may end up helping Biden with this one, but lemme read you this from these three idiots statement to the DOJ, these false statements implicate Joe Biden's knowledge of and role in his family's influence peddling schemes, and appear to be a calculated effort to shield Joe Biden from the impeachment inquiry. And then of course, you had, uh, uh, congressional correspondent Chad Pegram talking to Fox News who said this, hunter Biden is accused of lying about his role at Rosemont, Seneca Boha, that's a Biden related business. He's also accused of telling falsehoods about communications with Chinese business partners. Republicans say Jim Biden failed to tell the truth too.
These charges, first of all, I don't think the DOJ is going to prosecute at all, but even if the DOJ did decide to prosecute, these are charges like lying to Congress about conversations that you had. You're not gonna find a jury in this country that's going to convict these people. I mean, you could have a jury filled with nothing
But MAGA hat wearing freaks, and they still wouldn't be able to convict these people because you are saying these individuals lied about conversations that they had with other people. You can't prove any of that in court that they're lying. That is literally hearsay. So unless you have tapes of the conversations, which you don't, you can't prove these people lied. Not to mention the best defense for something like this is, well, maybe I misspoke.
