Alex Jones Cries While Sandy Hook Families Ask Judge To Liquidate His Media Company

The families of the victims of Sandy Hook were in court this week, asking the judge overseeing Alex Jones' bankruptcy to forgo the reorganization that Jones is trying to work out and instead to liquidate his company to pay his massive legal penalty that he owes. Jones has a $1.5 billion verdict against him for defaming the families by claiming that the tragedy never took place, and he is hoping to hide behind bankruptcy in order to avoid paying the massive sum. But while the families were in court, Jones was on his show crying about what's happening to him. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what happened.

Alex Jones owes $1.5 billion to the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre that took place many, many years ago. The reason for that, of course, is because these families got together after Alex Jones, uh, claimed that they were crisis actors pretending that their loved ones had perished so that they could push for stricter gun laws in this country. They filed a defamation lawsuit along with a, uh, uh, claims for emotional distress because they got death threats from Alex Jones supporters. Many of the families had to move. Some of them had to constantly keep moving their families even after the tragedy, because they kept getting the threats from Alex Jones families. And eventually, in two separate lawsuits, one in Connecticut, one in Texas, he got hit with $1.5 billion. So in order to avoid paying the $1.5 billion, he did what everybody from Texas does, and he filed for bankruptcy reorganization so that he wouldn't have to pay the full amount.

So I'm telling you all of that backstory to tell you what happened this past weekend on Sunday, the families of the victims, you know, the people that were a part of the lawsuit, uh, filed a motion with the bankruptcy judge begging the judge to not go forward with any kind of bankruptcy reorganization because there's no way that his company could survive a reorganization. And due to that fact, they said, we are requesting that you liquidate all of his assets, including his media company, which includes, of course, his show Infowars. Alex Jones was not happy about this, so he got on his program this past weekend crying at some points, and let me read this. This is from HuffPost Jones went on his web and radio show over the weekend saying there was a conspiracy against him, and he expected Infowars to be shut down in a month or two because of the family's bankruptcy court filings. The comments included profanity laden rants, and Jones appeared to cry at points. There's really no out of avenue out of this. Jones said on Sunday, I'm kind of in the bunker here, and don't worry, I'll come back. The enemy can't help but do this attack. At the end of the day, we're going to beat these people. I'm not trying to be dramatic here, but it's been a hard fight. These people hate our children.

The families of the elementary school students that were slaughtered in their school, they're the ones who hate children, not the guy that spread the baseless lies that traumatized these families even further after losing their kids.

There. There, there are, are so many horrible, terrible words going through my head right now that I would love nothing more than to say right now about Alex Jones, but I'm gonna hold back. I'm not gonna do it. I want to, like, I can feel my heart pounding through my chest right now with anger at what this man has done to these families and what he continues to do to, to these families. The idiotic and false claims that he continues to make this man more than anybody else, I think in this country right now, deserves to lose everything. I hope these families are successful. I hope they shut down his entire operation and take every penny that he has ever earned or will ever earn from this point forward, because that is what he deserves.
