While the Republican still won, the fact that a district that went for Trump by nearly 30 points was won by only 9 points is a huge deal. This follows the trend of Democrats closing gaps, and usually winning, in areas where they shouldn't be able to win at all, and it could be further proof that polling is even worse than we thought.
