Delusional Trump Suggests Mugshot Is Making Him Super Popular With Black Voters

Donald Trump visited with some African American voters this week, and took that opportunity to brag about how much his mugshot has helped him with black voters. In fact, Trump claimed that his support has "skyrocketed" with black voters since he was arrested, which is an exceptionally racist statement to make. The truth is that his support among that voting group has remained relatively stagnant for 8 years, in spite of the mugshot. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

During a campaign stop this week at a, uh, African American barbershop in Atlanta, Georgia. Even though he didn't attend Donald Trump, it still was a campaign stop because he phoned in. Of course, Donald Trump himself is not gonna walk into a black barbershop in Atlanta. So instead of him attending personally, he sent, uh, Byron Donalds republican representative from Florida who happens to be black. And he also sent Ben Carson, who also happens to be black. Like you guys go represent me. I don't, I'm not gonna be there. But you know, you, you tell the black voters how awesome I am and they'll listen to you because you're black too, right? Right. That's what Trump was trying to do. Look at my black friends, which of course is exceptionally racist. But the racism didn't stop there because when Donald Trump phoned in to talk to these people at the barbershop, he went full on racist in his statement.

Here's what he said. Since this happened, like the mugshot, the mugshot is the best. It just beat Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra by a lot. But okay, I, I don't know. I'm gonna, I'm gonna continue reading a second, but I gotta tell you, I don't know what that means. Like my mugshot beat Elvis Presley's, it beat Frank Sinatra's. I in what I, is there some kind of mugshot competition happening over, over time that I'm unaware of? What does that mean? You psycho idiot. My mugshot beat There's by a lot in what? There's no effing competition. My, this man is insane. He is insane. I don't even have to finish reading what he said. Like that should just be the end of it. That's the takeaway. This man is insane. There's something wrong with him. Something ably wrong with him and it drives me up the walls that everybody in this country cannot see it. There are people that think, no, he is a very stable genius. He's insane. He continues, by the way, beat it by a lot 'cause he has to repeat the same thing over and over and over and over and over. But that's the number one mugshot of all time.

It's, it's really an amazing thing. Since it happened, the support among the black community and the Hispanic community has skyrocketed. It's been amazing. Really been amazing. It's, it's been actually very nice to see, you know, in one way you say, gee isn't not too bad. But the truth is, it's really a lovely thing when I see that we have great support now in the black community and in the Hispanic community. God, that was painful to read. That hurt me like I need Advil now lemme tell you why this is so racist if you haven't figured it out. Donald Trump is implying that, hey, black people get arrested all the time. So look, I'm just like you Hispanic people. Y'all get arrested all the time. That is a racist stereotype and that is what Trump

Is playing off of to falsely by the way, claim that his support among those communities has skyrocketed. Recent polls have shown us, in fact, past polls have also shown this. His support among those communities has actually not skyrocketed. In fact, his support among the black community hasn't even risen. It's literally stayed stagnant for eight years. The only thing that's happened is President Biden's support among the black and Hispanic communities has dropped a little. I mean probably to the point where maybe he does need to be concerned. He still has overwhelming support from them, but it's dropped by double digits.
