YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

The billionaire owner of the Los Angeles Times – one of the biggest newspapers on the West Coast – has ordered staffers to NOT criticize Donald Trump unless they also run a counter-argument piece alongside the criticism. The LA Times becomes the latest major outlet to essentially clamp down on criticism of Trump, following in the footsteps of Newsmax, MSNBC, and The Washington Post. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what this means.

Well, folks, another day, another major media outlet here in the United States deciding to bow down to Donald Trump. Last Friday, of course, it was a b, c, deciding to settle a very winnable defamation lawsuit that Trump had filed against them. And now it is one of the largest papers in the United States, probably the largest paper on the entire West Coast, the Los Angeles Times. The billionaire owner of the LA Times, a man by the name of Patrick Soon, Chung has told his editorial board, told staffers that the paper that, you know what, we're gonna take it easy on Donald Trump. He has actually told them, according to a report here, to, uh, maybe stop talking about Trump for a while. And you know what? If you absolutely have to, then what we are also gonna do from now on is run a counter piece to whatever piece, you know, if you gotta attack Trump, we're also gonna run a piece right next to it, defending whatever Trump has done.

To put it another way, another billionaire in this country who owns a massive media outlet because they're all owned by billionaires, has decided we are going to bow down and kiss Donald Trump's behind the corporate media in the United States is officially dead. It should have been dead years ago. You know, once, uh, uh, we had all these corporations start buying up these massive media outlets, it should have died at that point. People should have canceled subscriptions. They should have stopped tuning into these corporate outlets on, on tv, but they didn't. I don't know what more you need now, whether it's the LA Times, the Washington Post with Jeff Bezos, who's also said, Hey, it's up to us to prove to Donald Trump that we're his friends. They're bowing down M-S-N-B-C with Joe and Mika. They're bowing down Facebook with Zuckerberg, which yeah, believe it or not, still a media outlet.

That's where a lot of people get their news. They're bowing down. He gave a million dollars to Trump's inaugural fund, A, B, C, bowed down. All these outlets are towing the line now for Donald Trump. They're doing it by the way, out of fear. They're doing it because they're afraid that Donald Trump is going to weaponize the government against them. And they think that by doing this, it's gonna stop all that. Right? He's not gonna come after us. We're friendly. But you haven't always been friendly, right? I mean, he doesn't care what you are now. He's still mad about what you did then he'll still come after you. It doesn't matter. That's what y'all don't understand. That target that is on all of our backs right now, it's not coming

Off. It doesn't matter. Your crimes have been committed crimes against Trump, right? We're all in this together. But you think that you can get out of this mess by going down and kissing the ring? It ain't gonna help. If anything, it's gonna make this country a hell of a lot worse. The corporate owned, billionaire owned media in this country was already bad enough, all of them taking this sudden right turn is even worse. But that is apparently what is happening with media outlets all across the country.
