4:13Now PlayingAn insanely irate and belligerent Steve Bannon has resorted to threatening Donald Trump’s new best buddy Elon Musk as the MAGA civil war continues to escalate. During a rant this week, Bannon told Musk that he can either go sit in the corner and stop meddling, or he will have his face ripped off. Bannon is probably speaking metaphorically, but you never can tell with these people. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

The MAGA Civil War is still raging on. We, of course, have the one in the House of Representatives over who is gonna be the speaker. And of course we have the social media civil war between people like Steve Bannon on one side and Elon Musk on the other. And that war is over the H one B Visa program that has apparently escalated to just immigration in general. Steve Bannon says he doesn't want anyone coming into this country, legal or otherwise, called for Trump to issue a moratorium on all legal immigration. And Elon Musk says, no, no, no. Wealthy people should be able to bring in foreign workers. Uh, poor people. Absolutely not. You can't have foreign workers for your farm or whatever, but us rich folk like me, the billionaires, richest guy in the world, we should be able to bring in foreign workers. But Steve Bannon decided to escalate the fight this week with an actual threat to rip Elon Musk's face off, which I'm assuming is metaphorical, but with these people, right?
You can't put anything past him. But here is what Bannon had to say. This is about money and power. It's not about race, it's not about gender, it's not about ethnicity, it's not about religion. That's what they want you to believe it is. So you like a bucket of crabs at each other's throat. It's not about, uh, that's about money and power. And Carl Rove is going to get his 54 big donors down there. They're going to figure out how to stop Trump or how to compromise it. No, we're not having group hugs. We're not having pats on the head. You've got to get this straight first off. You gotta get, Hey, I've said many times that Elon came and Elon's money helped organize the grassroots effort and his engineering mind. He saw what the problem was as we saw it, and he supported it.
And for that, he gets a place at the table. We love converts hell. I'm in a, I'm a Catholic. Uh, we, we used to be in the convert business, not so much anymore. We can't keep what we got. But in the old days, you know, half the saints are missionaries. We love converts, but the converts sit in the back and study for years and years and years to make sure you understand the faith and you understand the nuances of the faith and understand how you can internalize the faith. Don't come up and go to the pulpit in your first week here and start lecturing people about the ways to get things. Uh, things are going to be, if you're going to do that, we are going to rip your face off because you can't beat us. We're not beatable this army. The awakened is not beatable because we're relentless. Again, I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt, which I probably shouldn't, and assume that he's not physically saying he's going to rip Elon Musk's face off. But that's not for me to decide
That. That's kind of up to Elon Musk. If you wanna, you know, see about pressing charges for the violent rhetoric or the threat that he just leveled against you, Elon, I mean, hell, that would probably put an end to this mag of Civil War pretty quick, wouldn't it? If you get Steve Bannon locked up again, that would be hilarious. And metaphorical or not, that is still a threat of physical violence. Ripping someone's face off is a threat of something physical to a specific person. So again, Elon don't think you're tuning into Ring a Fire, but in the off chance you are, he made an actionable statement, buddy. And if you choose to act on it, I'm not gonna hold that against you. I don't like you or anything about you to be honest, but I will support you if you wanna maybe have the cops go and ask Steve Bannon to clarify his statement about ripping your face off.
