A Republican state lawmaker named Danielle Gallant from Nevada told a reporter this week that Elon Musk has now made it “cool” to be a Republican, going as far as claiming that it is now “punk rock” to be in the GOP. These people have absolutely no clue what it means to be counter culture as they suck up to the richest man on the planet – who also happens to be the biggest dork in the world. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

According to a Republican state lawmaker from Nevada, the cool hip, new thing in the country, the counterculture thing, if you will, is to be a Republican, because according to Nevada State, assemblywoman, Danielle Gallant, Elon Musk has come along and made the Republican Party cool. Here's what Gallant told a reporter this week. The left was very successful the last four years in bringing a negative connotation to maga, and I think they lost that battle the day that Elon Musk came out in support of Trump, because now all of a sudden it just became punk rock to be Republican again. That was, uh, Daniel, uh, Danielle, excuse me, Gallant. Gallant, I'm not sure how you pronounce that. A Nevada state assemblywoman, Elon Musk, she says, has come along and made the Republican Party the MAGA movement, punk rock.

You know, every day I sit here, I do these stories, and I think to myself, each and every day, there's no way it's gonna get dumber, right? Like, there's no way. The things I talk about tomorrow are gonna be dumber than the things I talk about today. And yet, every day I am surprised because every day it gets dumber. Elon Musk is the biggest dork on the planet. He is absolutely the opposite of cool, the opposite of punk rock. He is a guy that tries too hard to be liked because clearly he was never popular at any other point in his life. So now that he is going through this midlife crisis that caused him to buy Twitter, he tries to be cool, but he tries so hard that obviously you can't be cool. You can't be punk rock when you try so hard. What do these people not understand about that?

I, I mean, there are still some Musk diehard fans out there for some reason, but those people are even doer than he is. Like he's, I, I don't even, I don't even know how or why to refute this, but I feel the need to Punk rock came about as part of a counterculture movement, right? Counterculture was at the center of it to this day, to a degree. Punk rock is still a little bit counterculture, okay? You can't be counterculture when you are the richest man on the planet. You can't be counterculture when you are tied at the hip with the man who is about to be the most powerful person on the planet. That's not going against the establishment. That literally is the establishment, the richest man in the world, and the most powerful person in the world, both together in one thing. That is the most

Establishment you can get. There is nothing about Elon Musk that is punk rock. There's nothing about him that's cool. There's nothing about him that's, you know, hip or popular. The only thing about him is that he has more money than anyone else on the planet. And I'm sure some people probably do think that's cool. It probably does feel nice to have that, but he has not made MAGA punk rock. He has basically shown that Donald Trump was lying about all of his populous tendencies, and instead has created a cabinet by the billionaires and four, the billionaires that is absolutely in no way, shape or form counterculture. That is the epitome of the wealthy elite controlling everything.
