4:19Now PlayingThe Trump administration is actively purging government websites of vital information as part of their so-called “war on woke,” but what they’re really trying to do is keep the public in the dark about their rights. Information about public health and availability of certain treatments and medications has disappeared, along with legal resources for people facing discrimination in this country. This is a full-blown assault on our rights, as Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains.

Thousands of pages from government websites have disappeared in just the last six days alone on orders from the Trump administration. These websites, these pages that have disappeared, have vital information on civil rights, vital information on maternal care, vital information about healthcare in general, and vital information about environmental justice. And they are now being systemically deleted by the Trump administration. Let me read this for you. This is from the New Republic, laying out the information that is being disappeared from these government websites. The C'S website saw the removal of resources about HIV and STI treatment guidelines. Other information struck from the record included warning signs for Alzheimer's disease, materials for overdose prevention and training and vaccine guidelines for pregnant people. The times noted that the use of the phrase pregnant people as opposed to women may have contributed to the guidelines removal, the CDCs Social Vulnerability Index, which uses census data to determine how at risk someone is to experience a natural disaster through the lenses of geography, race, income, level, and education was also removed. The National Institutes of Health removed a portal with information about maternal morbidity and mortality. More than 1000 pages were removed from the website for the Office of Justice Programs, a research and grant making organization that works to provide local and state law enforcement with resources and training. All state level data on hate crimes was removed from the DOJs website. The Food and Drug Administration removed nearly 100 pages, including 60. That mentioned expanding diversity in drug trials.
So I'm sure they got rid of that because like diversity, that's the big D and DEI. So we gotta get rid of that. All it is, is like, hey, if we have a drug trial that only has, you know, old white men that may not be representative about, you know, the actual population, because different people have different systems, you know, different things. We, we need a more diverse group of people to test, to make sure our drugs are safe. But because it had the word diversity, it's gotta go. It's woke. You said diverse. You're woke, you're gone. Head start. The IRS and several other agencies also saw hundreds of pages scrubbed out of existence. The Department of the Interior deleted several pages mentioning environmental justice. Again, all of these vital resources like maternal morbidity and mortality,
How likely you are to experience a natural disaster based on where you live. Okay? Things that people need to know, and now you can't know them. You don't get to know them. These pages aren't coming back. While Donald Trump is in charge, they are gone. These resources designed to keep people alive and keep people safe are disappearing because that's what the executive branch wants to happen. This executive branch is not working for you. It is working for themselves. It is working for their own hate and just general. I, I, I, I, I don't even know. Just hatred of people, hatred of poor people, hatred of people who may utilize this information. Hatred of people who are diverse. It's hate, hate, hate, hate, because that's all this administration knows how to do.
