4:26Now PlayingAccording to the latest polling data, Americans are not happy at all with the Department of Government Efficiency, or Elon Musk in whatever role it is he’s playing in the federal government. Majorities of Americans disapprove of both entities, with DOGE suffering a horrific approval rating. And it isn’t just approval for DOGE that’s in the toilet – a majority of Americans also believe that the department is making things WORSE in the federal government and throughout the country. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

According to the latest Quinnipiac polling, most Americans hate Doge. A majority of Americans, 60% do not approve of what Elon Musk and his Department of Government efficiency are doing right now. 60% of Americans do not like Doge. Oh, and by the way, 52% of Americans also do not approve of Elon Musk. And that number gets even bigger when you break it down to independence and Democrats, the only reason he's near 50 is 'cause he still has a majority of Republicans who support him. But all of these numbers are going in the wrong direction, right? Trump's approval rating has ticked up even more points. He's now at a 53% disapproval rating. Everything, uh, Trump's handling of the economy is getting worse. Disapproval of that continues to grow in this latest poll by every possible metric. By every measure, people are growing more and more dissatisfied with this administration and everything that they are doing by the day.
And it's not just on the economic issues. Majority of people disapprove of what Donald Trump is doing with Ukraine. So across the board, this administration is tanking faster than any other administration. In modern history. We have not seen this level of reversal in polls ever. It's been seven weeks, folks, seven weeks. And all of these numbers that I'm talking about handling of the economy trust to handle inflation, Ukraine, government, uh, makeup, lay layoffs, immigration, all of that, Donald Trump, his approval rating was above water. More people approved than disapproved on all of those issues. When he took office. He is now underwater on every single one of those issues. He is hemorrhaging support from Latino and Hispanic voters. Those numbers are going down the tubes faster than his approval rating. He has lost tremendous support from the young generation, age 18 to 30. All of his numbers are going down with every demographic. He no longer has that so-called mandate because if you look at the polls today, not what they were a month ago or two months ago, those don't matter anymore. All that matters is how people feel today. And on the Doge issue, as I said, 60% disapprove, but it gets even worse because 45% say that, uh, 54%, excuse me, um, say that Doge is doing more damage than good. 54% say that that agency is doing more harm than good to the United States economy,
And of course, to the federal government in general. These are horrid numbers. And it's hilarious because Donald Trump thinks that everything he is doing, everybody loves right? He goes out there every day and tells us Everybody loves this. I, I'm helping you. I'm doing wonderful. No, you're not. We have never seen an administration lose this much, support this quickly. This is unprecedented. He is shattering records with how much people hate every single thing that he is doing. But don't let anybody tell you otherwise. A majority of people in this country are not happy with anything coming out of this administration. Those right wing cheerleaders and pundits that are all over the media and in the podcast world, they are once again back in the minority. And they are the only ones who think that what's happening in the country today is super great. Everybody else, a majority of them don't like what they see. And if Republicans continue to bury their heads in the sand about that, which they will, that's going to cost them dearly in 2026.
