Democrats in Congress have decided to go on a nationwide blitz of town halls in districts controlled by Republicans, since Republicans are refusing to talk to their constituents. And the move couldn’t come at a better time for Democrats, as the latest polls show that the Democrats have a lower approval rating than at any other point in history. Both parties are getting hammered in polls, and Democrats have a chance to get the upper hand with these town halls. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

The Democratic Party is in some serious trouble right now, but they may actually have a solution to their current problem. So before I get to the solution, here's the problem. They've got polls recently came out at the end of last week, um, multiple different polls all showing the same thing. And that is that the Democratic party, not necessarily the elected leaders, but the entire Democratic party approval rating of the party is at an all time low. Some polls had the approval rating as high as 29%, while other polls had it at about 27%. And again, that's just for the Democratic Party as a whole. That's the lowest it's literally ever been since such things were tracked in polling data. And as I said, that's not necessarily with the members of Congress because those numbers are somehow even worse. Democrats in Congress have an approval rating of only 21%.

Um, so across the board, the public's like, yeah, Trump's poll numbers are going down. His handling of every issue has gone down. He, the public disapproves of everything involving him, they disapprove of Doge, they disapprove of Elon Musk. They hate the Republicans right now, but they also hate the Democrats. Okay? We're not gonna sit here and pretend that hey, Republicans suck and the public loves de no. The public sees that Republicans suck, but they also don't like the Democrats. The only difference in the two is that the Democrats actually have the opportunity, and it appears that they are seizing the opportunity to fix that because the party announced over the weekend that they are starting a blitz of all 50 states to hold town halls, not in Democrat districts, but in Republican districts. Which for those of you that have been paying attention, is what I have been telling Democrats to do for over a month.

I said, get out of your district. Get out of your state. Go talk to the people in the Republican districts because Speaker Mike Johnson has said, we're not allowing town halls anymore. We got too many angry people. We're not gonna talk to them. So I've been begging the Democrats go out and do it and they're gonna do it. Uh, DNC party chairman Ken Martin said this, if they won't talk to their own voters, then Democrats will. That's why we'll be hosting people's town halls and all 50 states across the country starting now with vulnerable GOP held target districts. Now, okay, I get the strategy of that. Obviously you wanna start in the districts you think you can swing, right? And I

Get the strategy of it. If you're a party, yes, that's what makes the most sense. But as an outside analyst, a guy sitting here in a deep red district that you're probably not gonna flip without significant investment and a hell of a lot of time, don't just do that. Please, please do go out to these deep red districts like my district. I mean, hell, we've got a special election coming up on April 1st. Why the hell are y'all not coming here? Right? Maybe, maybe if you actually put some effort into it, you could hate, uh, help the Democratic candidate gave Amont defeat, uh, Jimmy Patronus. Maybe I don't, I I don't think it's possible. But for the love of God, try, right? There's no harm in trying. You don't have to just go to the swing districts. And I know you're saying you're gonna go to other ones outside swing districts, but maybe focus where the special elections are first, right?
