As Elon Musk slowly slinks away from The White House to return to his failing Tesla business, Republican strategists are proclaiming that the Party is DONE with Musk and the toxicity that he has brough with him. A new report highlighted several prominent Republican strategists and pollsters who talking about how Musk has cost the Party far more than he’s worth, including costing them some very winnable elections this year alone. There has been a noticeable silence from the White House in just the last few weeks that has been so subtle. Some folks may not have picked up on it, but the silence, obviously not coming from Donald Trump, who is falling to pieces on social media on a daily basis, certainly not from, uh, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Or Christie Nome, or any of those other weirdos. The silence is coming from somebody who, of course, is seemingly not there anymore, and that individual is none other than world's richest man for now, Elon Musk, Elon Musk has seemingly disappeared from the White House, and I know it had been discussed for a while that he was preparing to move on. He was going to hand over Doge and going to go back to his business that desperately wants him out because he is so toxic to the brand. Which brings me to the point.

It's not just Tesla, that Elon Musk has become too toxic for. It apparently is the entire Republican party, including the Trump administration itself, Elon Musk, has unceremoniously effectively been booted out of the Trump administration long before he hit that 180 day special government employee deadline. And now, according to a new report from Politico, Republican strategists and pollsters around the country are telling us the party is done with Elon Musk. Here is what one Republican strategist who was granted anonymity, had to say to Politico, he's finished, done, gone. He polls terrible. People hate him. He'd go to Wisconsin thinking he could buy people's votes, wear the cheese hat, act like a 9-year-old. It doesn't work. It's offensive to people.

Republican pollster, Frank Luntz told Politico quote, the public supported the effort to end wasteful Washington spending, but they did not support the way that it was done. His mission to cut waste from Washington was certainly helpful, but the language he used wasn't. Then you have Trump Ally, Jim Justice, Republican senator from West Virginia who said, well, he called Musk a patriot and said the work he did was good. However, we got too close to the fence. We mowed too far. We, we just adjust that. That's the process that's going on. Now, I don't know what that means, right? Like we, we just, we mowed a little close to the fence. What, what, what exactly does that mean? Because, you know, you got, you gotta mow all the grass. You can't just leave one strip close to the fence, and if you do, you go back and you get it with the weed eater, right? So I'm not exactly sure I understand Jim Justice's analogy here because it doesn't seem to make any sense. But I do understand that these Republicans are telling us in basically blatant terms, we're done with this guy, and

I would love to believe that, except I don't believe it for a second. The reason Republicans find it easy and convenient to quote, be rid of Elon Musk right now is because right at this very particular moment, they don't need him. More importantly, they don't need his money a year from now, once we're, you know, deep into the heart of primary season, however, oh, that's gonna be a different story. Elon Musk will come roaring back with his checkbook in hand to start funding these primary challengers to any Republican who dared to oppose Trump, or maybe say one unpleasant thing about him over the last year, he'll be back to fund Republican campaigns. He'll be back on stage making weird hand gestures and all, and he will be welcomed back into the Republican party. What the party is trying to do right now through this piece in Politico is distance themselves from a highly toxic character, which is not a stupid decision, right?
