YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAs voters start to really feel the effects of Donald Trump’s policies in their daily lives, their approval of him continues to tank. The President now enjoys an approval rating in the 30’s, something that he hasn’t seen during his second term, and only saw a few times in his first term. Voters have lost confidence in Trump on every single issue, and even Republicans have soured on the man that they insisted was going to save us all. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses these new poll numbers.

A new poll from the Pew Research Center. You know, one of the longest standing kind of, you know, most well trusted polling institutions here in the United States. A new poll shows that Donald Trump is once again bottoming out with his approval rating. He is now enjoying an approval rating in the thirties, whereas just two months ago, he was at least still in the low forties. But according to the latest data, only 39% of Americans actually approve of the job that Donald Trump is doing as president of the United States. And in this poll, voters of course did cite the economic turmoil that they are facing. And of course, they're disdain for the one big beautiful bill that a majority of them absolutely hate. So that's bad, right? But what's happening of course, is that Trump's policies, yeah, they took a while to really kind of get into effect.
Here. They are starting to impact each and every one of us. Everyday. People are starting to experience for themselves the negative consequences of Donald Trump's economic policies, which yes, does include his immigration policies because immigration, like so many other things, really is economic. So people are getting and they know exactly who to blame, and the numbers get worse from there, right? It's not just that his approval rating has fallen to 39%, they get even worse. 61% disapprove of Trump's tariff policies as prices rise on regular goods. Uh, 46% disapprove of the one big beautiful bill, which is a plurality, not a majority, I said majority earlier, it's plurality. 47% said they are somewhat confident in Trump's ability to negotiate trade deals on immigration. Trump received a 46% saying they're at least somewhat confident he can do something about immigration. So on those issues, he can't even get to half the country.
He can't get to a majority. He has to, you know, settle for a plurality that continues to fall. So a lot of people don't think he can do anything about immigration. He's not gonna do anything on these trade deals. And those numbers, trust me, as time goes on, are only gonna get worse. Um, 70% say that the Epstein case was mishandled. 53% of Republicans, a majority of Republicans disapprove of the handling of the Epstein files. And overall, 63% say they do not trust what the federal government is saying about the Epstein files. Love it. 53% said Trump is making the federal government worse. Only 27% said he's making it better. 55% of Republicans said Trump was making the government better. 16% of Republicans said he was making it worse. After the inauguration, however, it was 70% of Republicans believe Trump would make the government better. So that number's fallen by 21 points in seven months.
They continue to get worse. In February, 95% of Trump voters approved of his job performance, it now stands at 85%, which is ironic of course, and hilarious because the other day Donald Trump was on social media talking about how he has the highest approval rating of any Republican among Republicans ever in history. He is the most popular Republican to ever exist. Nobody has ever had numbers as high as his. That is literally one of the lowest approval ratings within your own party that we have seen in modern times. Like Trump is literally the least popular Republican among Republicans in at least the 21 years that I have been in progressive media. So that's pretty awful. Donald Trump's numbers are getting bad, they're getting worse. With every new poll that comes out, even the Republican leaning polls have not been kind to him and show him underwater on these issues, including his overall approval rating.
