A new report from The Wall Street Journal this week says that Elon Musk is “pumping the brakes” on his plan to launch a third party in American politics, which means he was never serious about challenging power or standing up for Americans in the first place. Instead, Musk has reportedly been trying to “cozy up” to Vice President JD Vance, which raises all sorts of suspicions about his involvement with the administration and potentially a Vance run in 2028. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

Just one month ago, Elon Musk was hyping up his new America party. It was gonna be a party that didn't represent the left, it didn't represent the right, it re represented the middle, right? Like that's all we wanted. We just want that little tiny middle. Um, and he's gonna put a ton of money into it. It was gonna challenge the powers that be, and it was gonna represent the people. And now here we are a month later, and according to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, Elon Musk has decided, you know what? Nah, I'm just, just not gonna do it. He has effectively quit. Now, the Wall Street Journal report says that he is quote, pumping the brakes, but he quit. He's giving up, right? He's not, you can't pump the brakes when the car hasn't even made it off the assembly line yet, right?

The car is not even on the assembly line, it's just blueprints on a piece of paper. And Elon Musk is like, oh, let's pump the brakes a little bit. Sir, there are no brakes yet. We haven't even gotten to the point of installing brakes. You are pumping the brakes on something that doesn't even exist because you realize that the world hates you. According to international polling, by the way, Elon Musk is the least popular public figure on the planet in the United States. He has a, an approval rating of a net negative 55%. Republicans don't like him. Le the left doesn't like him. The people in the middle that he wants to represent really don't like him. And he realized that he got all that polling data and he was like, you know what? Uh, maybe, maybe this isn't for me. But it's not just because everybody hates him as the report, uh, report, excuse me, continues.

Musk has stayed in touch with JD Vance in recent weeks, and he has acknowledged to associates that if he goes ahead with forming a political party, he would damage his relationship with the vice President. Musk and his associates have told people close to him that he is considering using some of his vast financial resources to back Vance if he decides to run for president in 2028. Some of the people said, Musk spent close to 300 million to support Trump and other Republicans in the 2024 election. Oh, no. Now we know Donald Trump reads the Wall Street Journal. He hates it. 'cause he always talks about it and always talks about what they write, but he reads it. How's Donald Trump gonna react when he finds out that his vice president is cheating on him with the man he just dumped? I hate to say it that way, but that's kind of what it is, right? Like Trump and Musk broke up,

And then Musk is like, I'm done with you guys. But then we find out Uhoh, he's making secret phone calls to Donald Trump's current boo. Oh, no. What's going on here? Um, this is very soap opera esque, right? But Elon Musk, his toxicity is not going away. If anything, it's actually still getting worse. So if JD Vance is dumb enough to cast his lot in with Elon Musk, 'cause he wants that money, um, he needs to understand that that is ba basically a death sentence for a political campaign. Now, and I hope he doesn't know that. I hope he does do it. I hope he says Yes, Elan, let's go run for president again, because that will be the quickest way to get your butt kicked out of politics For good, relegated to the history books as a one term vice president who never held another office again. And hopefully that's exactly how JD Vance's history will read. Thanks for watching everybody, and if you are not already, please subscribe to the channel.
