8:20Now PlayingPrime minister Boris Johnson travelled to Poland and Estonia yesterday as the West prepares to further ratchet up sanctions against Russia.
During a Warsaw press conference with the Polish prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Johnson was confronted by Ukrainian Journalist Daria Kaleniuk over the UK's response to the crisis.
She said to him: "You are talking about the stoicism of Ukrainian people.
“But Ukrainian women and Ukrainian children are in deep fear because of bombs and missiles which are going through the sky.
"And Ukrainian people are desperately asking for the West to protect our sky. We are asking for a no-fly zone.”
Speaking to John Pienaar on Times Radio, she said: "If there are no-fly zones... what is the alternative?
"Does that mean that the only alternative if for Ukrainian children, Ukrainian women simply to sit in the shelters... and to wait for these missiles to destroy everything?"
