Erdogan started out with a lot of charisma, but now he relies mostly on manipulating the media, touting his personal narrative, punishing opponents and hiding behind that distinguished mustache. Still, Samet believes that Erdogan thinks he is doing what is best for the country by wielding power so aggressively.
