4:43Now PlayingGovernor Brian Kemp signed a new bill into law limiting access to voting in the state of Georgia in a move many are calling voter suppression. Georgia state troopers arrested democratic Representative Park Cannon for knocking on Kemp's door as he signed the bill during a live broadcast. According to reports, the officers forcibly removed her and dragged her through the Capitol before putting her in a police car. The bill has been referred to as "Jim Crow 2.0" by Cliff Albright of Black Voters Matter and called "Jim Eagle" by President Joe Biden. BNC's Bofta Yimam joined Start Your Day with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to discuss the SB 202 bill. Democrats hope the "For the People Act" will pass in the Senate to combat attempts to protect all Americans' voting rights.
