Dr. Ebony Jade Hilton, a Critical Care Anesthesiologist, joined "Start Your Day" with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to discuss the topic. Hilton said the 1918 pandemic greatly impacted the children of that time, who were then affected by the emergence of the Great Depression. "We have the potential to see that replicated," she said, citing that the impacts are not just physical but financial as well. "What we do is we vaccinate," Hilton said, offering a solution not available in 1918.
