According to the National Gun Violence Archive, more than 18,000 fatal gunfire incidents took place so far this year. In June, gunfire was highlighted in Central Florida, with a 12-year-old and 14-year-old engaging in a shootout with police after the mass shooting on Memorial Day Weekend.
