Weinstein worked as a federal prosecutor at the Justice Department during former President Barack Obama’s administration, as well as general counsel at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office.
“I am actually the only candidate who has ever worked on criminal justice reform in a district attorney’s office,” Weinstein says. “I think I have a real advantage of having done the hard work.”
Weinstein says that she is committed to shrinking the criminal justice system and fixing racial disparities.
